[Private] A Bit of Training

It was almost 6:30, Haru stood outside the gym wearing a navy blue hoodie, jeans, and sneakers, a bit casual compared to her usual attire. She was to meet Itsuki there at that time to start her training in exchange for his tutoring. She stood there waiting for him to come out, occasionally checking her watch for the time.

[We're not actually inside the gym, and school gyms are usually located somewhere in the courtyard, so I figured it would be safe to post this thread in this forum.]

Itsuki made his way to the gym. He waved to Haru as he approached. Glancing at the overcast sky, he yawned and made so mental calculations about the weather. "Hey, good morning," hey said, "Well start light and work our way up. Just follow me, and tell me if you're getting tired. Any questions?"

"Yeah, um... why are we doing this?"
Haru was new to all this and didn't know much about it.

"To help you keep healthy," explained Itsuki, stretching, "And keep me educated."

"I know that, but- never mind...."

"Alright then," replied Itsuki, "Follow me." With that he took off jogging at a steady pace.

"Hey, wait!" Haru followed after Itsuki and managed to catch up.

"Alright now keep up that steady pace," said Itsuki encouragingly.

Haru had difficulty trying to keep up, and she was quickly tired out, as evident by her sweating and panting, but she continued on.

Itsuki didn't notice that Haru was extremely tired and kept the steady but brisk pace.

She barely managed to say "C-can you slow down?"

Itsuki looked behind him. "Hm?"

He slowed down to a walk and gave a Haru a concerned look. "You okay there?"

Haru slowed down as well and took a minute to catch her breath before saying
"Y-yeah, I'm alright... I'm just not used to this much physical activity."
She wiped her forehead.

Itsuki rubbed the back of his head. "Sorry, sometimes I forget not everyone is as active as I am."

Haru chuckled a bit.
"It's alright, it's my fault for being out of shape."

"And that's what we're going to change," said Itsuki smiling. "Now onward, to victory!" He began to jog again, slightly more slowly though.

Haru continued jogging, this time determined to keep going.

Itsuki lead the way, leading Haru around the buildings of the school.

"How much-" Haru panted in between words. "longer do we... have to keep this up?"

"Just past this corner," Itsuki replied gleefully. He brought her around a building, which lead back to the gym.

Once they were finished, Haru came to a quick stop and panted heavily, trying to catch her breath.

Itsuki glanced at the cloudy sky then at his watch.

"Not only did the rain hold off, we made good time...at least for your first time."

He looked at Haru panting and raised an eyebrow. "You okay there?"

After a minute, Haru replied energetically "Yeah, I feel great!"

"See," cried Itsuki, punching Haru in the shoulder again, "That's what I was talking about yesterday!"

She laughed lightly and rubbed her arm. "Yeah... definitely gave me quite a workout."
