[Open] Disconnected

"Oh, it's you."

He stood there, expecting a response. When that response was nothing more than a nervous look and shuffle away, followed by her holding her soda out, he was puzzled.

"What?"

Her visage turns from apologetic to confused as he responds much more calmly than she suspected. At which point she then realizes how silly her previous offer was. Jun then sets her bottle down on the floor and then as she rises again she holds up a single finger and mouths, Hold on, before beginning to write something down.

The short moment as she swiftly writes her message is punctuated by her holding it out for him to read.
[I'm really sorry! Is there any way I can make it up to you?]

Aaah. Mute? Seems to be the case.

"Well, there's not really anything to be done about it at this point," he said.

Wait, is she deaf too or just mute? Did she even catch that?

[In that case, I should probably go then.]
Jun bent down and grabbed her soda before giving him a short bow and making her way somewhat awkwardly past him. As she was walking away she looked back for a moment before continuing towards the girl's doms.

He wasn't so bad.

Guess she's just mute, then.

When she looked back toward him, he waved, then turned, entered, and closed the door. Didn't even get her name. Meh.

Better make that nap, workout, and two showers, he thought as he headed up to his floor.
