I can't believe they are making me do volunteer work here. Of all the places...

I was back here at Yamaku Academy. The last place I wanted to be. Every student face I passed by in the hallway...they all reminded me of her. And every teacher just made me think of...*sigh*

Hanako...Damn it. I'm going to have a real nasty word with the director when I get back. Shouldn't have made me volunteer anyway, since according to them I'm a "drunken mistake." *scoffs* Bastards.

She began to set up shop in the nurses office. The last one, went on a very long vacation. Eos laughs lightly. I bet he's having fun.

Ah. Wonder how many students I'll get in here.

A knock could be heard from down the way. Declan noticed the door close in an odd fashion right as he came started going down the hallway and ran right to it. While he hadn't been in the office for quite some time, he had just returned today as his vacation time ran out (which he never truly deserved, constantly taking entire days off any way, but the law's the law.) "I would like to know what is going on. If there's a P45 that was sent out, I've never received it. Who even is in there? Hello?"

In his mind, he wanted, just to outlast his intruder by banging on the door as repeatedly and constantly as he could but knew that would just make him appear even more absurd than he had made himself out to be. Instead, he waited by the door, keeping his eye right on the peephole for any sign of movement from within. No-one is going to take his job from under his nose without hearing from ol' DC. He noted there was a woman in there, who appeared just as cross as he and braced himself if she came to match him for intensity. He came to notice the burn marks on her side, perhaps coursing throughout her whole body. That was all he noticed as afterwards, he kept looking through the peephole, but in a neutral direction to lessen the chance of having defend himself on that note.

"If you're going to set up, could you tell me where the P45 is? Or... really, anything about what it is you're here for?"

I quickly look up from my chart. "Is someone there?" I look toward the door, swearing I'd just heard something.

'I better not be losing it. Last time this happened, I ended up half naked in Tokyo. ' I shiver alittle as I recall the memory. All those things I did trying to repress my feelings for...

I place my chart down as I sigh. 'Maybe a snack would help. Let's see if the lunch room has anything. Dear God, I hope there's no mystery meat.' I open the door and stop, immediately.

"Oh! Uh, do you need medical assistance. ..right now?"

"I am the nurse you seem to be displacing, I need assistance, but of a legal nature." Declan said under gritted teeth, not finding any of this amusing. "Can you tell me what is going on? I am thirty-four, not a student, I am...or seemingly was faculty." Declan tried his best not to go into vernacular and more so not to knock the door over in a rage. If there's one thing on earth he hates more than being woken up, it's being left in the dark without a light. There was no light here. To his sides, his fist clenched but his tone remained without wavering. "Could you at least tell me what you're here for yourself please?"

I point at my attire,a little irritated. 'What the hell? He's back? Why would you send me here if you knew he was coming back? For fuck sake.'

"I'm supposed to be your replacement until you returned from vacation. And, calm down will you? No need for legalities here."

"...?"

Declan gave her the most puzzled look he ever had on his face, seventy times seven and more times confused than any one man should ever have to be. His eyebrows arched to a new angle known to mankind, a wrinkle or two of time now formed on his unfortunate forehead. If one could look closely and at the right point, a red hair just turned gray as he grew pale.

"I... didn't go off on vacation. I... ran out of days. I apologize for any inconvenience as now we're both...equally as inconvenienced. My name is Declan Carrick, from Ireland, and I seem to be as confused as you are. Let's start over and figure out what on earth is going on." In a fit of perplexity, the entire statement was said in Japanese and at varying speeds as he tried to return to what was his resting emotion. It wasn't working.

[sorry for the wait. I've been extremely busy this week with work.]

I sigh as I shake my head in slight irritation. It's not his fault I guess but this whole thing is now a waste of time. Those idiots at that hospital and the idiots at this school will hear from me.

"Sure, okay. It's not your fault, anyway." I extend my hand towards him and shake his. What the hell did he mean when he said he ran out of days? Is he on some kind of work Visa? Ah, it doesn't matter. This whole thing is a mess.

"Why don't you and I go down to the lunch room and discuss this. I'm a little hungry and I wouldn't mind seeing what they have down there." I slowly walk towards the door. "By the way, the names' Eos. Nice to meet you. I think."
