Re: [OPEN] A Peaceful Breeze

"I'm used to that Aussie heat, man. This is no good!" Jimmy joked, giving a small laugh.

"Hmm." Jimmy pondered Ryuu's offer for a second.

"I guess there's one thing that comes to mind: how does it feel to have such an intense passion and skill for playing music and to have all of those people recognising and even adoring you for it?" He asked finally. He couldn't think of anything else to ask his new friend just yet.

As they both got to know each other better, they'd undoubtedly have more questions to ask each other, but so far, Jimmy was most curious about the fame and success Ryuu had achieved. It seemed like a whole different world, but one he wanted to understand a little more. Jimmy's father had lived in that world for Jimmy's entire life. Jimmy wasn't sure if it was somewhere he wanted to end up, but he'd felt directionless for his whole life. No particular talents to speak of, and no goal he was looking ahead to. He'd been having a few ideas recently; some kind of insight might help the pieces fall into place.

How does it feel to have such an intense passion and skill for playing music and to have all of those people recognising and even adoring you for it?

Ryuu thought for a bit before answering.

I was doing it because it was something that I could do to get closer to my parents, really. When my grandfather found me out, I played a small show at my first family meeting, and it went well. I then met the Sonic's and came up with the first name: 'The Sonic Warriors of the Thirteenth Note'. We became like a small family, playing for each other, connecting to each other through our music. which would in turn, connect us to the rest of our fans, because we were each other's No.1 fans.

I'm me because I'm a person who won't stop until I get what I want. I wanted my own song, and I got lots of great ones on the way. People will love a person for doing something they want, not what they need to do. Also, the adored by fans thing is just another upside. At least what I do will make someone else's day better, that's what I think.

Jimmy nodded.

"Well, I think if you were the sort of person that was just doing it for the fame we wouldn't have really gotten along so well. It seems like it would be nice to know that at least someone, somewhere out there was appreciating what you've worked so hard to create. I was just curious to get an insight into what you got out of that experience, and that feels like a good answer. Do you still keep in touch with the other Sonic's? It sounded like you were a close group."

Saying that we were a close group is only the half of it. Each one of us is doing something for their lives to become better. With me, trying to act mature an intelligent, but until the point of being a general buzz-kill.

He saluted to emphasize his last point, mostly because that was a joke.

Jimmy laughed and decided to play along, standing perfectly still and straight and saluting too.
"It's an honour, General Buzz-kill. Lieutenant Oxygen Tank reporting for duty, sir!" He said, doing his best impression of a soldier before quickly breaking and giving a goofy grin.

[Well, Lieutenant, current reports show us to be heading towards warmth. What do you make of this?]

Ryuu pointed towards the dorms as they neared them, silently laughing at this 'private' joke.

"I fear it may be a trap, sir. We cannot trust such rapidly changing conditions." Jimmy continued, as the pair reached the entrance to the dorms. He tried his best to keep a straight face.

That there is a grand observation made, Lieutenant, but I think traps are a good way to stimulate adrenaline responses of the body.

Ryuu saw that Jimmy was trying to keep a straight face and tried to do so as well, but was failing at a considerably quick rate.

As Jimmy entered the corridor to the dorms, following Ryuu, he felt reluctant to leave his new friend.

"Yes, General. I shall stay as aware as I can, sir." His efforts to keep a straight face beginning to fail too.

As they entered, Ryuu held the door open for Jimmy and his oxygen tank, and then jogged in front of him saluting and running up the stairs toward his room, but not before 'saying' one last thing.

We'll Meet again, buddy. Stay awesome!
