Having scaled Mt. Everest, and been on the Expedition Everest at Walt Disney World, I can safely say that the designers at the faimly theme park only got a few things accurate on the attraction. The yeti was a nice touch though.

"I tried scaling one of those plastic rock climbing walls once."

Looking back on that pathetic moment, I get an 'ugh' look on my face before looking at my arms.

"I may be able to manipulate momentum in a funny to make me stronger but without that these things are pretty dang usless."

I role up my sleeve to reveal very thin arms with nothing but bone and a little muscle. Glancing at me when I show off my skin, I look pretty well off with strength but after a longer inspection I'm really not all that strong looking at all.

"You guys may not know it, but Chris knows what I'm talking about when I say that."

Come to think of it, him and Yuri-chan are the only two people who've seen me get into a scrap. That is, if Yuriko's Prison Rules Fencing Match From Hell counts. If not, then just Cook.

"Anyway, I only made it half way up before I couldn't hang on anymore."

Hawke's eyes widen at the thought of skydiving.
Oh god. I literally CANNOT think of anything worse. First of... going up in the plane... that's bad enough... then standing in a plane open to the elements? Horrible. And then... the jump. No. Just no.
Hawke, being afraid of heights, turns pale as they begin to chatter aimlessly about the subhect.
"S-skydiving? You guys have fun with that..." Hawke mumbles to nobody in particular, then tries to erase the thoughts form his head by burying his concentration in his phone.

I can't resist but to pretend to push Hawke toward the ledge of the school roof.

"Push!"

My face brightens up at the little joke as I give a little chuckle.

"If there wasn't the risk of passing out for me I'd totally want to give it a try."

I begin to become half-submerged in my own little world with a stupid-looking happy-joy face on, thinking of being a HALO jumper and how crazy-awesome it looks.

Not even paying attention to anything around me because of it.

*Exhale*

Stumbling a little after the push, Hawke falls flat on his arse. He stays on the floor because he doesn't want to ask for help getting up on account of his leg.
"Dude! Ouch... Not funny."

"So Chris, when did you get the chance to climb Everest outside of Disney World?"

I went to Tibet when I was fifteen. The monks there where so friendly. Let me just tell you my favorite countires I've traveled to: Germany, Italy, France, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Great Britain, Ireland, China, and Nepal. (Chris inhales.) When I first reached the peak of Everest, I fired off a flare gun and started screaming "Yeti, come get me".

(Chris laughs at Yuuji's comment.) Yeah... (Chris looks at his leg prosthesis.) My adventuring days are over though. I often ask myself: why did I live such a reckless lifestyle when I was younger?

Re: [Open] Rumors of a nighttime sky.

Post by Izumi Inaba on Sat Mar 09, 2013 7:40 am

*Izumi grasps this moment to speak*

"So you can live, or rather feel alive. Life is too short to not take any risks to be honest. Too many people are too bothered with worries and regret to remember to live. You shouldn't even question it, you had fun right?"

He then turns back to Satoshi:

"The future is unknown, one can only plan ahead so much. I'll probably think about it the closer I get to graduation. It's a couple of years away for me so no point now really."

Thinking about Izumi's comment "Carpe Diem, right? But you also need to remember that you could ruin the rest of your life at any moment, for example Chris, he was lucky enough to be able to come to an amazing school like this; but an injury like his could effect your life in a drastic way. It's all well and good saying you need to take risks to enjoy life, but you can't take risks if you have no life."

That's enough philosophical outbursts for today.

"Huh?"

The disintegration of my consciousness concludes and I'm back to reality.

*German* "You're argument is invalid you little bitch. Ha HA!"

I begin to laugh a bit.

*G* "Boom, home boy."

*E* "Y-..you understood me?? Why didn't you speak in German with that accent of your's then?"

I put on my Irish accent as well. I may not be able to pull off speaking in many accents but Irish is one of the few I can do.

"Oiyeh, ma'e! No matter! I be callen the man with theh funny haiuh cut a bitch!"

"So what are yeh gonnuh-"

My accent starts fading back to my normal voice. Nothing a throat clearing can't fix.

"KEH khmm!"

"Yeh gonnuh do aba' it?"

My voice is teasing, my smile quite large.

Heh heh, I wonder what Hawke is thinking of all this since he can understand the English part.

It takes me a little bit but I recognize the impression after racking my brain. My family never was a huge fan of him.

*J* "I can't do an Impression of him."

I chuckle a little.

My interests are more peaked than ever. He's doing my favorite actor impression to do.

"Uh-I-uh actually c-CAAAN CAAAN run-but-uh-faster than a t-rex, though you-uh must BE-"

Suddenly becomes very quiet.

"-re-uh-fering to tthee-uh tyrannosaur-uh-us. A magnificent-"

Back to normal volume.

"-creature of large-uh-SIIIZE SIIIZE and quite deadly. But do you-uh-Chris know what it means when the grass turns extra green?"

He knows exactly what's coming.

Unsurprisingly we end up saying it together. I myself with a really wide-eyed overly-serious facial expression on my face.

"CHECKMATE."

*J* "Jeff Goldblum. The dude from the old Jarassic Park movies. Pretty much famous for the way he talked."

I nearly have to wipe a tear from my eye after that last impression.

Had no idea anyone here would recognize that impression enough to do it. This guy, Cook, man.
