[Private] Take Note

Hawke finds himself in the courtyard, alone with his thoughts. He looks pretty chirpy, but whenever he shifts a visible grimace of pain shows on his face, his leg is acting up today. When he isn't in pain, he's trying to remember the events of that fateful night that changed his life, what happened? He begins to make a mental timeline again, but this time he writes it down and has times attached:

17:00: We left home
18:00: We arrived at the cinema
21:00: Left the cinema
21:10: Walking through the alley
21:15: Thugs turn up


After that is a big white space, in his mind and on the page.
Who were they? He had a vague idea of the ring leader's face, but he couldn't quite put his finger on it. Where have I seen them before? What did they say?

"What did he SAY?!" He says out loud by accident, almost shouting out the last word, attracting the attention of several of the passers-by. One in particular begins to walk towards him, but he hasn't noticed in his agitation.

Lessons had ended for the morning, and Rii had spent most of them doodling in her notebook - Which was usually primarily used for communication, but nevermind that. It also served as a good distraction. Perhaps, just perhaps, she should listen in class a bit more - But she supposed she did manage to remember enough of the lesson even with an absent ear to what the teacher had been rambling on about. Heading out into the courtyard, she shoved her notebook back into her satchel and made her way across the grass whilst looking for somewhere to sit - somewhere quiet, preferably.

Hearing someone exclaim loudly, her attention was drawn to a male - and it seemed it wasn't only her attention. Several other students had turned to peer at the student aswell. Raising an eyebrow, she decided to head over to him. Stopping just a short distance away, she pulled out the notebook and wrote down on it, before showing it to the male with quite an inquisitive look.

~You alright?~

As Rii walks over Hawke looks up and notices her walking towards him. Oh balls. People heard. and notices several other people looking at him. The girl appears to be writing in a book as she walks over. When she arrives she shows him what's in the book.

Confused, Hawke takes the book and puts the paper he was writing on on the bench next to him. Reading the page Hawke replies "Yeah I'm fine... It's Rii right? I'm Tiberius..."

~Ah, nice to meet ya!~

Rii wrote, deciding not to pry any further into the reasons for his rather sudden outburst. Deciding that here was better than anywhere else to sit and eat the lunch snack she'd prepared earlier, she set her satchel down on the bench before writing again.

~Mind if I join you?~

"You can indeed." Hawke said while he moved his stuff from the bench. He didn't notice, but the sudden shift in the things caused the paper he was writing on to float off the bench and land at Rii's feet.
"So what brings you to this corner of the school?"

Rii blinked in surprise as he accidentally knocked a piece of paper onto the floor. Leaning down, she picked it up and put it with the males stuff - after all, it'd be rude to look at someone elses property. Sitting down beside him on the free space on the bench, she wrote the reply.

~I was just looking for somewhere quiet to eat my lunch - this courtyard seemed the best bet. ~

Noticing the piece of paper he picked it up, folded it and put it inside his pocket. Glad she didn't read it...

"It's the first time I've been here. But you're right, it's quiet" He says with a smile.
"So how long have ya been here? And what's with the, err..." he gestures toward the book. Way to go, Tiberius. Tactful as ever.

~Not long, roughly a week. And yeah, sorry, the book confuses people. - I cant speak~

She smiled, having forgotten to mention that ever so critical detail. She'd used notebooks all through her life, so often forgot that it could seem strange to people.

"Oh, I suppose that's why you're here? How ya settling in?"

~Alright really, its a bit hard remembering my way around.~

She admitted, rolling her eyes slightly as she wrote it.

Reading her note he makes a small laugh. "Yeah... I've forgotten which is my dorm three times this week!" He says, wincing at the memory of accidentally walking into what he thought was his room, but realising it was the right number, but the girl's dorm building.... That was difficult to explain.

"I only joined a couple of weeks ago, but I've settled in well. Everyone here is really friendly. You made many friends yet?" He says with a smile.

~Other than you, I've not really spoken to anyone.~

Well, 'spoken' was more like 'written' in her sense, but she felt that the first word fit the sentence better. Though it almost felt like a bad pun. Rii had spent her morning wandering around the academy and drawing out a small map to places she needed to go - which included classrooms, and where the dorm was - alongside her room number.

"Awww I'm special!" he says with a wink. "You found much to do around here in your spare time? Sitting around in the tea room gets a bit boring..."

~Not particualy, I spend alot my time drawing~

And consequently, Rii had spent a good lot of the week in the art rooms, just doodling the free time away.

~What about you?~

"Got a band-type thing going on with a couple of friends. Pretty fun, we do a lot of covers.... I seem to spend most of my time thinking though. And stopping rape allegations is anything to go by..." Hawke trails off, thinking about Chris. I wonder if he's ok?

"You managed to head into the city yet?"

~I see, and yeah - I was surprised when that screaming broke out. Im glad it was just a misunderstanding.~

After all, it had occured only a few days after she had joined the school - thinking there were rapists there wasnt the best first impression.

"Yeah.. as I said, Chris is a good kid. He'd never do anything like that... I hope." Hawke has a worried look on his expression which quickly turns to anger and then back to his normal apathetic visage.

Rii nodded, picking up her satchel and searching in it - before pulling out two neatly wrapped sandwiches. She'd prepared them earlier in the morning, and was glad she'd finally caught a good enough moment to eat them, having been vaguely busy throughout the morning. Unwrapping one, and holding it in her left hand, she bit into it. Using her free right hand, she wrote.

~You not got any lunch?~

"Umm... somewhere around here.."
He reaches into his backpack and begins rummaging through the various items thrown in there. He pulls out books, notepads, pencilcase, a coat, until the bag is empty. "Huh. seems I forgot it. Well... I think I'll be fine until the end of the day, I'm not THAT hungry." His stomach was having none of that though, as it chose that moment to let out an audible growl.

Watching as he rummaged through his bag - seeming to empty all of the contents he'd brought with him - she laughed soundlessly before picking up the second wrapped sandwich and offering it to him, after all, his stomach seemed to argue with his point of view on his level of hunger.

Looking around confused Hawke notices Rii's outstretched hand "Heh, thanks!"
He unwraps the sandwich and takes a bite. "Mmm, what's in this?"

~Cheese - the only thing I could find in my tired state this morning~

She rolled her eyes. Rii was terrible at waking up in the mornings, and even worse at finding things. So cheese had been her best bet.

"Hahaha, at least you HAVE food.... I forgot to get some...."

I really need to get a refill on my medication.... Bit of a vicious circle, if you run out you won't remember to get a refill.

~If you call cheese sandwiches adequate food, sure.~

She joked - Munching on the sandwich quite happily.

"It's better than nothing!" He says with a grin. "Say... while I remember, do you wanna head into town? I need to pick up medication and food."
