Ah, thank goodness. I needed a distraction to get off topic.

I loudly take advantage of the opportunity, almost interupt Nick.

"HAWKE, PUT THAT BACK IN YOUR PANTS-THIS ISN'T AFRICA AND WE HAVE A GUEST!"

"Nothing-nothing at all. Just...manly bonding."

My mind maybe killing itself with its own joke but my face shows no sign of positive expression.

".....That....wasn't necessary.... "

Nicholas sighs.

"I was attempting to kill myself to The Smiths but the noise make me self-conscious..."

Hawke looks up from the bottle and stammers "K-kill yourself?"

My voice is much more calm than Tiberius's. A little whiney but that is not my mood. More like stretching out my words.

It's a subconscious way to show my relaxation even on situations like this.

"Don't feel bad about not being able to do it."

"That does not show you are weak. It more so shows your strength."

And another (a little less) subconscious way to show relaxation:

"I never liked cowards, so I've never liked people who've done such a thing for un-understandable reasons to most people."

"So, congratulations on being an alpha."

I give a less happy, more 'you the man' style grin before taking a drink of water.

The alcohol has started to kick in a little so I have even less fear and tact than before, making me more of a 'say all that needs to be told to people with no regrets 'cause I ain'a bitch' type of guy.

I mean, I just said 'un-understandable' instead of incomprehensible.

That was humor?

...but he said it so calmly...

I'm a little surprised he is able to hide emotion so much. It puts me at a disadvantage with him.

"Oh...well then there's some more proof."

I shrug my shoulders.

Humour eh? Fair enough...

"Why anyone would have suicidal thoughts while listening to the Smiths is beyond me!" He grins. "Take a seat, if you want. Plenty of room in the House of Hawke."

He stops for a few seconds... Have I even met him before?

"Hawke being me. Pleasure to meet you."
