[OPEN] Enter Stage Left

Ichiko steps off the bus, hauling her wheeled luggage case behind her, and looks around at her new home: Yamaku Academy. A high school catering for disabled students, or as Ichiko saw it, a high school full of interesting people. People like herself, perhaps. High school was a new, exciting adventure.

Ichiko passes through the gate into the courtyard, pulling the luggage case behind her in one hand. Her skeletal robotic arm gleams in the sunlight. Halfway across the courtyard she pauses, shifting the case into her robotic hand and looking around. "Where exactly are the dorms?" she wonders aloud.

"Just to your left, miss!" Hawke calls from the shade of a nearby tree.

He begins walking towards the strange new face at a slow pace with a smile. "Hi! I'm guessing you're new here? I'm Tiberius Hawke!" He says, and throws his hand out to give his customary handshake.

As his eyes flick down to his own hands, they widen in shock to see that the girl's arm is not really an arm at all, but a robotic arm.

He falters for a few seconds, but continues to hold his hand out anyway, just in case he offended her.

[I'm going to let this slide just this once, but in the future, please don't respond to any RP topics that aren't clearly tagged as [OPEN] or [PRIVATE] in the title. And, naturally, don't create any either. From now on, every RP topic outside of Deadbook without a proper tag will be locked immediately]

We closed our eyes a few times when the forum was just starting out, but I think we're big enough to not allow this kind of thing anymore. Ichiko smiles at Tiberius. "Thanks! My name is Ichiko Asari! Pleased to meet you!" She extends her flesh-and-bone arm and firmly shakes Tiberius' hand. She notices him looking at her robotic arm. "It's cool, isn't it?" She proudly flexes her arm, showing off the mechanisms.

Up on a nearby tree branch is myself.

A gentle breeze rolls through the life-filled branches of my tall seat upon the courtyard land.

I can't help but notice a gleaming glare hit my eyes.

"Ah!"

Lean...

"Whuh-woah!"

Slip...

*English* "Shit!"

Fall...

*Thud*

"Aaaah....."

Die.

I sit myself up inside of a fall-cushioning bush. Poking my head out from above to see a new arrival with something on her arm.

Something I've yet to see here...

Ugh, I think I'll just die now.

*Thud*

My head lays itself back down. My senses paying attention only to the surrounding noise and feelings.

Ichiko looks round as she hears a loud thud coming from nearby. "Huh? Did you hear something?"

Hawke rolls his eyes and nudges Satoshi with his foot.

"Stupid idiot... This here Sleeping Beauty is Satoshi Veach. And yeah, the arm is cool."

After a few failed proddings, Hawke says excuses himself and leans down in Satoshi's face and yells "SATOSHI YOUR LEG IS ON FIRE!"

Now I am awake enough to be considdered consious, though, not fully.

"What?..What's up, mate?.."

I can't help but feel like one of those sloths that mistook it's other arm for a tree branch and fell to it's death.

*Crackle crackle.*

The bed of branches and leaves russle from underneath my head as I lift it up and spot a second body nearby whom I don't recognize.

The gleam of reflected sunlight returns.

That and the large amount of white she is currently wearing with her light blue hair sort of naturally gives off the look of an angel's.

Wow, I really am dead...

For some reason (again, I am still half-conscious) I think of my mother's guardian angel. Perhaps it's the female connection.

"M-martha, did you come to-...?"

I don't finish the sentence out of fatigue from my little head trauma induced nap.

Instead I just sit the with my eyes 3/5 open.

"You ok there, ol' buddy? There's a new student we need to give a warm welcome to."

Hawke waves his hand in front of Satoshi's face a few times.

"I'm beginning to lose count of the amount of times I have to save you, bro."

"Hm-..hmm?"

My eyes open a bit more and my thought process boots up.

"New student?"

Ugh. What the hell was I just thinking I was looking at?

A hand reaches forward. Half to block that light and half to shake.

Why can't I see her arm?

"My apologies, M-...I~'m Satoshi Veach. You may call me whatever you like, though."

I rub my left eye and notice her hand. Her metal hand.

Then-...oh. I never thought glare would be my enemy in any place other than videogames.

"Pleased to meet you, Satoshi! My name is Ichiko Asari!" Ichiko shakes Satoshi's hand firmly. "So...did you just fall out of this tree?"

That's a little self explanatory, isn't it?

"Well, I was in a tree and then I was on a bush."

I chuckle and sit up.

The leaves rustle underneath me as I do.

Chilled, comfortable sensations take hold as a breeze rolls by. Blowing the bangs out of my face. Putting an emphasis on my eyes and hair length.

"To be honest I didn't think I was even going to meet anyone new today, so this is a pleasant surprise."

A small smile crosses my lips.

[Actually, I was originally planning on leaving the thread after I fell so it is a surprise. ]

[I hope we don't have another leaver like Ayame or Touka or Chika :C I liked the idea of this character.


Oh Ayame~.... come back to me my sweet princess.... ]

[Don't worry, guys, hopefully I'm here to stay]

"Well, I should be on my way. Uhh - Tiberius, wasn't it? - was just showing me where the dorm rooms are. Anyway, it was nice to meet you."

"La~ter."

I rub the back of my head before leaning forward over my lap.

Hawke tips an imaginary hat and offers his arm to the girl.

"Right this way, Asari."
