[Private] Backfire

Eric sits in the surgery room in the top-secret facility in which he, Vivian, Sechs and Mr T live. He'd given Satoshi more than enough time to wear himself out going crazy inside his cell, and decided it was time to return to the cell with the fake prototype cyborg he'd found to further mess with Satoshi's head. Motioning for a Husk to carry the fake cyborg, he wanders down the hallway towards the holding cell, whistling some long-forgotten tune from his childhood.

When he opened the lockdown door, he was surprised that he didn't hear a Satoshi screaming out for his death, and walked very slowly towards the cell, slowing down the whistles as it slowly dawned upon him what had happened.

"Oh shit."

He looked to the back of the room to see one of his glorious Husks in a crumpled heap, "STALIN TWO-POINT-OH! NO!" He cried, and felt the all-to-familiar rage build up in his gut. It's not often that Eric genuinely wanted to put someone in as much physical pain as possible, but now was that time. He threw himself out of the doorway, and began the search for the little asshole that had destroyed his creation.

"Where are you, you slimy piece of-" He started to snarl, then found the charred remains of the lock. His eyes widened in horror, and he threw open the door to find...

Nothing. No Satoshi.

"Awww, CRAP! Vivian! Sechs!" He called out, and got no response. He took out his phone and called Takeshi, dreading the moment to come. The phone rang a couple of times and the familiar voice answered with a "Yes?"

"Uh... Mr. Takeshi.... I'm afraid we have a situation. You'd better get back here." He simply said, and flipped the phone shut, grabbing fistfuls of hair in frustration.

Where the hell is Vivian!

Takeshi picks up the phone and calmly listens to Eric, then puts his phone away as soon as the call is dropped.

'So Satoshi escaped, huh? Excellent' he smiles faintly before assuming the Gendo pose. 'Now, it's only a matter of time before they bring her to me...'

After a tense few minutes, Eric phoned Takeshi back.

"Y'know, it wasn't me. Vivian tried to KILL him. She tried to gas him, and I saved his ass. The little shit killed a Husk and got away. We need to find him. If it wasn't for your b-baka of a subordinate he wouldn't have got away!"

'She tried to kill him, huh...' Takeshi ponders. 'I had not foreseen this. I will make sure that she receives an... appropriate punishment when I return. As for Satoshi, do not worry about it. Did you really think I would even allow him to escape if it wasn't part of the plan?'

Eric pauses for a second, "Maybe. What's gonna happen to him now?"

Takeshi leans back. 'He'll go to his friends, tell them exactly what I want him to tell them, then do my job for me, thus bringing our entire plan to fruition'

Eric lets out a grin, "Takeshi, you're an evil genius, aren't you?"

Takeshi grins widely. 'Evil is such a subjective term, Eric...'

"Pfft. I'm heading back to Yamaku to take care of.... something. I'll be back within a few hours. I might have a guest." With that Eric snaps the phone shut and saunters off towards the school in the hopes of finding a taxi on the long walk.

A panicked Kuriko awakes from her drug-induced slumber and rips off the bandages around her eyes with a scream, which stops abruptly. It was a day or two after the surgery, so her eyes bled a bit but the sights she had before her eyes were distraction enough to bear through the pain.

My... my eyes... he... he FIXED my eyes!

She leaps from the table and studies her surroundings like a child let into a sweet shop, She gazes around frantically, gorging on the sights as if it will be taken away from her any second. Her vision was slightly red, but red vision is better than no vision.

Y'know... the surgery wasn't THAT bad, considering I can now see... I need to thank this... Doctor.

She follows the corridor until she finds her old room and notices Satoshi is gone.

He... he ABANDONED ME!

She sits down in a corner of the cell and begins to cry, waiting for somebody to come find her.

Suddenly, the door slides open with the stereotypical "whoosh" sound. Takeshi steps forward and enters the room, then looks Kuriko straight in the eyes.

Red suits you, he compliments her as the door closes behind them. But the color of the eyes is irrelevant if they're not functioning. So tell me, Kuriko... Are your eyes working properly?

Kuriko looks up form her pit of self pity.

"Y-yes, they do... Thank you.." She forces out, then stays silent, waiting for the imposing man to speak.

In that case, I would advise you to stop crying. The salt in your tears will interfere with the cybernetics, he says and gives his hand to Kuriko to help her stand up. Usually, I seal the tear ducts when performing eye transplants, but the surgery needed to be cut short due to some... unforeseen distractions related to your boyfriend.

Kuriko accepts the helping hand and dries her tears.

"S-Satoshi? What happened? I felt him touching my feet at one point.. but now... he's gone. What have you done with him?!" She says with a look of horror on her face, "I don't think he would leave me."

Unfortunately, that is exactly what he did, Takeshi confirms. After being brought here, he assaulted my children, ripped my daughter's forehead open and escaped from here without a second thought. If I knew he'd be so much trouble, I would have left him at the hospital...

"That.... actually sounds quite like him." She says with a sour look. "Although, a lot of things seem to have changed if he left me.." She says, feeling hurt.

Holding back tears, she goes off on a stereotypical highschool girl rant about men, "You know, you give them everything they want, you think the world of them, and then you tell them you love them, and the next thing you know they've left you at the hands of a crazy doctor! They're all the same, MEN! God!"

Sitting for a few seconds to cool down, "I hope you paid him back."

Takeshi sighs when Kuriko refers to him as a "crazy doctor". I'm right here... he says quietly before answering Kuriko's next question. Unfortunately, my children were powerless to keep him here. As of now, he has been gone for about two days. And before you ask, no, nobody has made any effort to break in here.

"Oh I'm sorry!" Kuriko says.
"He was an idiot, anyway... Got himself into stupid situation." Kuriko looks up at Takeshi, "What's the plan now? Will I become like you...?"
