NAME: Kara Rifkin, AKA Riff

APPEARANCE: Standing at 5'8", with calm hazel eyes and deep red hair reaching down to the bottom of her shoulder blades, Kara usually dresses in lighter casual clothing seeing as she is used to cooler weather.
BACKSTORY:
Kara is a writer, a very unsuccesful writer. She has a brother that is 9 years older than her. Her parents got divorced when she was young. she and her brother lived with her dad. He's an engineer and has a thing for chess. She had a few good friends in school but she struggled to keep in touch after they graduated. She has spent most of her adult life just barely getting by with small literary publishings and part time jobs. She spent a large amount of her life in the state of wisconsin, until one day, she met another writer visiting from japan. This writer's name was Nori Nakahara. They became very good friends over the span of only a month. At the end of this month Nori had to return home, and Kara's life went back to normal as if nothing had happened. Kara soon fell back into monotony, so when Nori, who was quite a bit more succesful than her, contacted her and arranged for her to come to japan, she jumped at the chance. Two weeks in a new world, spending time with a good friend, seeing and learning so much, it was a dream for her. Every thing was perfect, just as Nori had planned. At the end of the week, Nori proposed to Kara, but she declined the offer. After one last awkward and depressing night together, Nori sent Kara back home. Nori's last words to Kara were, "I'm sorry."


Now, 3 years after her trip to japan, Kara has recieved notice that Nori has passed away and given her everything. Kara was undoubtably devastated by this news, however, she eventually decided to go to japan seeing as she had a house and all of Nori's possesions. She learned that Nori had no relatives or any real friends. The most tragic discovery was that Nori hadn't published a book in over a year and as she was working on the last chapter of one, she commited suicide. Feeling somewhat responsible for her death, Kara decided to stay in japan, thinking that's what Nori would have wanted.  While Kara inherited more money than she's ever had in a savings account at one time, she still needed some way to support herself. She went to the public library first, but they were fully staffed. However, they directed her to the next best thing, Yamaku academy, which has a larger library than most highschools. The previous librarian there left a few weeks ago and one of the teachers had been filling in until they could find someone else, and Kara is that someone.


PERSONALITY:  Kara is very warm hearted and friendly, she is always willing to help others, but rarely takes the initiative to help herself. She has a tendency of daydreaming, much to the detriment of her jobs but as a benefit to her writing. She's a very spiritual person, however she doesn't share this with others, unless they ask of course. While not neccesarily timid, Kara is definitely a quiet person, and with japanese being her second language, this attribute is amplified. Kara has a way of almost always seeming calm and thoughtful, even if she is internally freaking out. Despite whatever her problems are, Kara holds her own independence in very high regard and will always try do deal with it on her own, sparing others the trouble of helping her. All in all she is a very caring and careful person, always thinking of how her actions affect others.

I think some things lack.

2 Things to be quite exact.

I am referring to anything before her adult life, how was her school life? As you can read in the guide, if its a normal 0815 creative writter school life where nothing happened,its totally fine. just add it


the 2nd thing however is a little more important.

Baisicly, i dont know how she came to work in either yamaku or the town( and i hope its rather yamaku because otherwise you will get a little bored. our "adult community" isnt that large.)
and i do not only want but also need elaboration on it. why is she in yamaku, why exactly at THIS school. There are million schools , expecilly which teaches creative writting with huge ass libarys, is there any reason she attends our place? or the town near yamaku?

I am encouraging you to finish this profile,i like it already, and a (un)succesfull writer as liberian will be pretty neat. Expecilly beacuse the libary is one of our more famous roleplay places.

I'll have to ask you to add the information you mentioned to your profile and expand upon her personality. Do that, and I'll approve you automatically, as I really don't see anything wrong with your profile. It's just a little bit short.

By the way, don't make fun of NorX's spelling. Trust me, SilentFox and I already do that more than enough in the admin chat. I'm afraid he'll snap and go on a murderous rampage if everyone on the forum starts doing it too.
