(Open) ghost chess

Post by Sumiko Nakagawa on Sat Jun 22, 2013 9:01 am

It's lunch time on Friday the ground outside has dried from the rain and Sumiko comes back into the libray to check on the chess board again. She turns the corner and see the game has already been finished. Black has won. She sits on the black side and analyzes the board, trying to figure out what both were thinking
"What a game... though it seems like white surrendered at some point..."
She places the pieces back to their original place
"There."
She stays on the black side and begins eating her snacks she had in her sweater pockets. She hears some foot steps but ignores them since not a lot of people go back to where she currently is.

[When is this? I want to know if it's plausible for Chiharu to walk in on this. Don't wanna be in two places at once]

Ps: The best time for me would be during lunch, the day after it rained. Friday I think.

Having missed her window of opportunity to get lunch chaos free, Chiharu decided to head to the library and drop off a book.
<I might as well reset the board, seeing as I'm already here>
Chiharu rounds the corner, and even though she's a bit surprised to find someone there, she calmly and quietly asks, "Feeling better?"

<She's eating a snack, that's good news. It's not an actual meal, but I might not get my lunch either, so I shouldn't be talking>

"Any time"
Chiharu takes her offer and takes the seat across from Sumiko.
"I didn't know you played chess."
She rushes the queen's pawn without much thought, almost automatically.
"Then again, we didn't really talk a whole lot before, well...yeah"

[btw, do you have a board of your own? I don't mind too much, but it'd be easier for me not to have to put up the pictures each time.]

"Uhh, no... I was black."
Chiharu looked continously stared at the board as she slowly pulled her knight back to c3

"Huh, well I didn't start it, I just found the board with one move, and I couldn't resist the temptation to make the second. I see you faced the same issue."
She looked up from the board to ask, "Do you have any idea who made the first move?"
Chiharu leaned forward to push her queen to d3.
