[OPEN] Bored already?

Shortly after walking through the gates and my parents driving off, I realize that I don't know what I'm supposed to do. They told me they came here a few days ago to put my stuff in my room and sort out whatever kinds of things would need sorting out, but that means there's not much left for me to tend to. I haven't been outside much for a while, so I notice when the breeze pushes my right sleeve a bit. Hopefully, I'll get used to such a thing soon. Quickly and deliberately moving on from the thought, I take a look around, eyes open with genuine interest in my new surroundings. "Nice enough place, I suppose." I mumble to myself.
Where to go, what to do...

As he headed through the courtyard toward the front gate to head into the small shop in town Mizo noticed a confused looking boy standing near the gates.
"I haven't seen him around before, he must be new. This is a chance for me to help someone like Yuji helped me when I first arrived here." he thought to himself.
As he approached the boy he said
"Um...e-excuse me..uhh...Do you need s-some help? You...you look a l-little lost."
Mizo was pleased with himself, in the past several months he'd gotten better at talking to people. His shyness still got the better of him a lot of the time, but it was getting better.

"Not as much that I don't know how to get somewhere as that I don't know where I should go." I reply, my eyes half-closed as a result of my lack of interest in anything in particular now. "Maybe I should have planned this day..." I mumble.

"Oh, well...if you don't know your room number, the...the office would be a good place to start. I c-can...umm...I can show you where it's at if you'd like." Mizo said.

I pause for a bit before pulling a slightly crinkled sticky note out of my pocket. "My parents gave me my dorm number here. I think they thought I'd forget it if they just told me." I close my eyes for a couple seconds to consider the possibility before continuing; "I probably would have. I should probably see where the office is anyway, in case..." I trail off before stopping to think again. I quickly find that I don't know what kind of situation would require a visit to the office, so I end up just repeating myself. "In case."

"Well...If you have y-your room number then you don't r-really need to...to visit the office. OH!...umm...sorry...uhhh...I should of introduced my self. I'm Takameshi,Mizo. I-I'm a second year student here." he said.

"I'm Kimura Sora." I say, giving my name after the person I'm having conversation with gives theirs as is habitual. "If we're skipping the office, maybe you could show me where the dorms are." It's probably important to know the location of my new room.

"S-sure, they're over this way." Mizo said as he pointed in the direction of the dorms. As the two started to walk Mizo asked Sora
"So..Umm...What room number are you in? I-If you don't mind me asking."

(I don't remember how the Yamaku dorms are numbered, or if that organization was ever explained. :S)

(Pretty much you just pick your dorm room number, best bet is to go up from other peoples. Mine for example is L25.)

(I know I'd pick my own, I meant I don't know the lettering and how many rooms there are per letter and whatnot. However, going with the "best bet" provided:)

"L27." I read the note aloud before putting it back in my pocket. "You always sound unsure of what you're saying." I point out a few seconds afterward, possibly too bluntly, but I don't realize that I could be so. I usually don't notice conversational details like this, but it's been kinda hard to miss. "I wonder if I can say 'always' when I've only had this conversation, though..." I add, talking more to myself than Mizo at this point.

(Oh sorry XP I think the floors are lettered and theres around 30 or so rooms per floor so I think you're good.)
"Oh, uhhh...sorry, I'm kind of overcoming a s-shyness problem. I'm...you see, that is...I'm a lot better now than I was a couple of m-months ago." Mizo replied then in an attempt to change the subject from his own problems he said
"L27 huh? that's just a f-few doors down from m-me."

(I'm probably a bad person for laughing a bit at how uncomfortable (I imagine) Mizo just got)

I don't have any thoughts on my dorm being close to Mizo's, and so don't say anything in response. "He's very apologetic as well. I wonder what he was like a few months ago, if he was even more uncertain then..." I think to myself, without saying such things aloud. I notice that we're now in front of a door that I assume is the entrance to the dormitories.

(I keep pressing the new topic button instead of the post reply one. )

(No you're not a bad person. you pointing it out made me laugh too, I hadn't thought about it until you mentioned it  .)

"Here's the dorms. Your room will be u-up this way." Mizo said as they entered the building.
"Umm...are you ok t-to use the stairs? I..uhh..only ask because I'm not sure what y-your, how d-do I put this? Your situation is."
he asked.

I pause for a bit, trying to make sense of what he tried to ask me, before figuring out the implication. He'd probably notice soon if I didn't just tell him now, so I do so. "I'm missing half an arm." I say, waving what's left of my right arm back and forth slightly, causing the empty portion of the sleeve to wave back and forth a bit as well. "Stairs are fine." I continue, before starting to walk up said fine stairs. I don't really like being reminded of my disability, but I suppose it was bound to happen eventually.

"Sorry, sorry. I...uhh...I just..that is...I...uhh...I g-guess I just...didn't notice." He replied now very much embarrassed
"I...you see...I..umm..I c-can be...s-sort of...oblivious at t-times, I'm sorry. I g-guess after a w-while you tend not to notice these things as much a-any more."

"Oh well." I say to dismiss Mizo's lack of observation as not worth any concern right now. I watch the numbers (above? on? beside?) the doors with fully open eyes as I walk through the hallway past them, scanning for L27.

Edit: Apparently this post was poorly timed.

"It'll be through h-here" Mizo said as he stopped an opened the door to the "L" floor. Mizo led Sora to one of the side hallways and said as he pointed
"Your room will be just down this way." while trying his best to sound more certain of what he was saying.

NOW I scan the numbers above the doors as I try to find L27. It doesn't take long, and so I open my door to see my new room. It's plain and not much else. My laptop has been left on the desk, but otherwise it looks like nothing has been altered. "Maybe I'll tape some drawings on the walls or something to fix that." I think to myself. However, I quickly remember that my last attempt at drawing was painfully unsuccessful. "Maybe I'll find something else..."
I'm not very sure of what I'll do at all.
As I think to myself, I forget to say anything to Mizo.

(Going to bed now, it's 3:00AM. I'll be on for a short time tomorrow morning, but won't be able to return after that until Wednesday. )

Mizo realizes, after they stand there in silence for a moment, that Sora probably has some unpacking to do.
"Ummm, You probably wanna get un-packed. I-If you have any questions, I'm just down the h-hall in 25."
Mizo said with a sort of nervous wave. Even though he was doing better at talking to people, this had made him realize that it just people that he'd gotten to know that he was having an easier time talking to. As he made the short walk down the hall to his room, Mizo did his best to give a smile but it only came out as a nervous half smile abomination.
"I-I'll s-see you around." he said down the hall as he entered his room. Once he had his door closed,Mizo collapsed to the floor.
"I'm still really no better at this."

{Hey, np I understand. I'm gonna be busy the next several days my self. I work at a Video Game store and GTA V comes out Tuesday. :I}

(Turns out I can stay today, but will still be gone tomorrow)

"I-I'll s-see you around." he says to me. I respond with a quiet "Bye." Despite his reasoning for leaving, I don't really have unpacking to do. My parents came a few days ago and brought whatever they thought I needed here with them. I check my dresser to find that there are shirts in the bottom two drawers and the pants and shorts are in the top two. I might reorganize those later, but they'll probably end up in an unsorted mess as I put clothes back in without thinking about organization anyway. I guess I won't reorganize them to shirts on top and pants on bottom, then. Not much point. I look behind the desk to see assorted school stuff I'll need for classes.
"I should have planned this day." I decide. Maybe I could take a walk around and see what the area outside the school is like? It'd probably be more useful to learn the layout of the inside of the school, but it wouldn't be as interesting.
Maybe...
