Hawke grins once Chiharu steps back into view, not surprised in the least. The rather bedraggled demeanor of the girl brings a sense of sympathy to Hawke as she strolls across the quiet room.

I guess she got woken up, too...

Once she grinds to a halt Hawke gives a half-smile and a shrug of the shoulders and mouths "Save me.", referring to all the noise that the people around him were making at such an ungodly hour.

Oh, look, it's Kinai, but nobody called for her... when that guy said "Kappa" was he calling her a name? That doesn't seem very nice.

Without hesitation, she replies with a slightly clearer but still quite flat tone as she says, "Sorry I had plans to be elsewhere." <AKA somewhere without people. You'd think with it being a weekend that the school would be pretty empty.>

After giving her short reply, she placed the toe of her right shoe firmly behind herself and used it to turn back around to begin walking away.

"Well seeing as my breakfast is soaked by juice that's been filtered through my nose I guess I'll be retreating to the stacks. See you guys later." he said as he got up with his book and glasses and after disposing of the remains of his breakfast he left for the Library.

I really want to ask how something like that happens, but he leaves me disappointed. I move on to another question I had.

As Chiharu hears someone follow her out of the cafeteria and down the hall, she turns in response with, "Why do you insist on- Oh... Mizo. I thought you were, never mind."
She then waits the moment it takes for him to catch up and continues walking along side him.
"So, where are"
*yawn*
"Where are you heading?"

[OOC: Seeing as we are seperating ourselves from the other group, I'm going to start a seperate thread in the library. http://www.ksnewgen.com/t951-open-a-respite-from-cheer#18297]
Lost in her own thoughts for a few seconds, chiharu stares forward before snapping back into reality as she looks over to mizo and replies slowly with, "Yeah. Same here."

As they approach the library, chiharu quickens her pace to gain a slight lead ahead of Mizo to open the door, but before doing so she replies with the closest thing she can manage to a smirk this early in the morning.
"They say great minds think alike."
At which point she walked through the library door.

Re: [Open] The Morning from Hell

Post by Tiberius Hawke on Tue Dec 03, 2013 4:23 pm

Having his interest piqued, Hawke leans forward and rests his head in an open palm. His fingers cover the majority of his mouth, and he speaks through them, "Yeah, Itsuki, why Kappa?"

The constant referral to Chiharu as a mythical being irritated Hawke to no end, why the hell couldn't Itsuki just simply use her name? Nobody else seemed to have a problem with it. And Chiharu didn't seem to like it either, if Hawke had gauged her reactions correctly. The name dredged up one of the many enemies from some long-lost video game from within the depths of Hawke's memory, presumably shown to him by his father as the graphics were, well.... crap.

While awaiting an answer, Hawke's eyes narrow ever-so-slightly and his eyebrows knit together, and he stares directly at Itsuki, ignoring any eye contact.

"Alright," said Itsuki, "The story is-" He was cut off by his phone ringing. Annoyed he took it out of his pocket and quickly glanced at it. Seeing who was calling, his eyes widened, and he quickly answer.
"Hello...now? But I was...yes sir, sorry sir, I understand sir." With that he put his phone away.
"Sorry gentleman, but something has come up," Itsuki said, "I have to go." He stood up, left the table, and hurried out of the lunch room.

(I couldn't resist teasing it a bit more.)

I can't help but be slightly annoyed as I watch him go, though its slightness paired with that I'm still tired means I don't care all that much.
"Interesting timing." I comment after he leaves.

"I don't know." I reply before realizing "But you probably didn't expect me to."
For what other reasons may he have left?
"Maybe he planned for somebody else to call just then in case he was asked why he calls Kinai 'kappa' so that when they did call he could act like he had other things he needed to do more than tell his story."
My blank face makes it rather hard to tell whether or not I'm serious.

"That sounds massively over complicated..." Hawke says, returning to glaring at his breakfast. "I think it's a rather pitiful attempt at flirting if you ask me." e says, forking more bland food into his mouth with a look of distaste.

That sounds massively over complicated...
But not impossible!
I think it's a rather pitiful attempt at flirting if you ask me.
"Leaving after a phone call?"
After a few seconds I figure out a more likely possibility of what he's talking about.
"Oh, calling her 'kappa.' I don't really see how that's flirting but maybe that's why it's a bad attempt."

"You're a clever one you are." Hawke smirks, looking towards Sora.

He extends a hand over the table and offers a handshake, "Hawke, Tiberius."

As of late Hawke had begun to respect Japanese customs more, and stopped using the western introductions in favor of the Japanese inversion of the name. He'd decided this on account of his year anniversary of arriving in Japan was fast approaching; a mere two months away.

(Does he extend his right or left hand?
If left:)

The handshake is made mildly awkward due to its performance across a table, but its not enough that I care. "Kimura, Sora." I give my name as I shake his hand.
My stomach growls a bit. "I should probably get food or something." I acknowledge.

(If right:)

I stare at the hand a couple seconds before bringing my right arm's remainder up so it's visible from across the table, and the sleeve hangs in a noticeably empty fashion past where my elbow would be.

Hawke falters for a few seconds while Sora brings his stump up.

"Ah... Sorry." He quickly changes hands and extends his left hand. "Hawke, Tiberius."
