I just thought of something.

Post by Sayuri Motozaki on Fri Jan 10, 2014 1:21 am

This has probably been addressed before but if it has I've forgotten it.

In a few months time, Sayuri and the other seniors will be graduating from Yamaku. There's the university, I know, but...what happens to the characters who don't go to uni? Sayuri, for example, will most likely be given a job in her father's company as soon as she graduates, and she'll move away from Townsville and that'll be that. So...if some of the characters don't go to uni, we might not ever see them again. Unless they take up jobs or something within the town. And then there'll be the same dilemma in three years (if the forum lasts that long) when the characters who do go to uni graduate. Then what?

I guess the characters can still be used in Elseworlds stories though, right?

I'm kinda tired so I haven't written this very well, but hopefully you get the gist. Soon, it'll be getting to the point where we'll have to say goodbye to some of our characters. In that case...I should try and get some more RPs done with Sayuri and get some character development done, so she doesn't leave Yamaku as the same character that came in.

IT'S CATCHING ON. FINALLY.

And the only realistic way I can see Sayuri saying is deciding she doesn't want to follow in her father's footsteps and pursuing a university career, but I don't see that happening. Perhaps the publishing company could open an office in the city, idk. I'm perfectly happy to actually introduce(?) Hawke and Sayuri if you wanna get some more roleplaying done.

First of all, I would just like to point out for any new members that Townsville is not, in fact, the official name for the town next to Yamaku. Officially, the town is still nameless, so go ahead and use Townsville (or anything) to refer to it when talking OOC.

Second - even if characters don't go to uni, they can still stick around as residents and get jobs somewhere. Or they can totally be NEETs and waste their parents' resources. Looking at you, Wade.

Those both sound like sound ideas. I think Hawke and Sayuri may possibly have met before but I don't recall.

I'm not sure they did outside of the Cybernetic Nightmare thread...
