It comes out fairly easy but I forgot that it may make our situation awkward if I mention the true reason and acknowledge our little...moment.

I walk through the door next to her.

She looks at him worried
"I-I'm sorry. I h-have been eating a lot lately I think I have gotten a bit heavier."
She giggles at herself
"It wont happen again will it?"

"Coming from a girl who looks to only be 95 pounds."

'It wont happen again, will it?"

I feel like shuddering at the thought of a taken girl being in that situation with me again but I hold it back.

"I certainly hope not."

The steps end and I realize I haven't eaten my lunch.

Ah well, I'll just chug down the pop and wait until school ends to eat.

I escort Sumiko down the hall to her class.

"Arrivederci, you."

I give a light grin and bow.

She bows back

I see the confused look in her eyes.

I can't help but chuckle as I speak with a smile.

I make my way forward to my own class.

"Haven't seen you in forever."

"Tell me about it. I have been falling behind in my studies so I haven't had time anymore like I use to."
Yuuji places his hand on Veach's shoulder
"What about you eh!? I have seen you talking to that girl Casanova!"

'Casanova?' I'm going to have to look up what that exactly means when I get home later, but I got an alright guess.

Dammit, why does he have to be so loud? He just might start more false rumors.

I speak a little more with an inside voice to attempt to defuse the conversation's energy.

"Nah, man, it ain't that way. Believe it or not, that is Cook's girlfriend."

"I myself am quite fine lately. Not much happening..well..-"

I unbutton my left sleeve cuff and reveal my deeply-scarred upper wrist and lower forearm.

"-..maybe there was a little excitement, but not much other than that."

Yuuji eyes widen not scared more surprised in seeing that scar

"Little bastard bit me so I punched it in the throat."

I chuckle a little bit afterward.

"I still won, though."

My eyes close in delight over such a weird moment.

(Chris, overzealous with excitement, runs past Yuuji and Satoshi. He only spares a few words with the two, as he is in a hurry to go pick up his sister at the nearby city's airport.) Hey, guys. Sorry, but I'm in a bit of a hurry. (Chris storms off, nearly knocking several other students over in the process.)

I yell after him but he is already too far to hear.

With clenched teeth I mutter in frustration with a grunt.

Such a reckless kid. I need to talk to him about that next time I see him.

I help a few people up. Turns out one of them was a girl who's disability made her have a hard time walking too.

"S-sorry..he does that sometimes."

I really hope Sumiko can eventually cover his ass as good and as often as I can because, I swear, she'll need to.

"Sorry Yuuji, you were saying?"

"Sumiko? Yeah, that's her name."

"Can you tell me what she is like on the way? We have to go follow Cook see what he is up to. Shall we?"

I look over to the direction Cook was running.

"...Iiiiiii doubt we'll catch him..."

"I suppose I can miss class, though, to follow him and see."

"What did he even say? I didn't catch it since the bodies of the many casualties from his death run were piled all the way above his head and muffled his voice."

Actually, it was because he was facing the other direction when he was talking but I like what I said much better.

I begin to walk.

"Very socially conservative but she does indeed have some guts in certain situations."

Sumiko stands just outside her classroom. The pile of bodies that Cook run over are starting to decrease. She looks over to where Veach as heading seeing him come back

"A-are you going after sen-" She stops mid sentence noticing the boy in crutches;takes a few steps back.
"H-hello..."

"It's fine, he's cool. One of the kids in mine and Cook's little circle."|
