[OPEN] Slumber

"...zzz..."

Sayuri has fallen asleep at her desk again. After the excitement of the dance, and then her birthday the day after, Sayuri is worn out, and a long night kept up by pains in her leg has proved to be the final straw. As a result, she is now slumped across her desk, blissfully slumbering through class, oblivious to the stares of her fellow students.

"...zzz...pencil...sharpener...zzz..."

A distant bell tolls.

*Ding! Dong! Bing! Bong!*

With that the students in the class stand and make their way out.

My usual routine is to come from the class across from this one to hang with Tiberius but something else has preocupied me.

I myself have slept in class a few times and-...

Okay, maybe I lied about the 'few' part-but who wouldn't take advantage of having a sleeping disorder as an excuse?? HELL yeah!

Anyway, I understand how it sets you back when you fall asleep and have not finished work yet so I decide it's only best to wake her.

...but who could pass up such a perfect time to mess with someone?

I already know the answer to what I must do...

Walking over there I quickly decide to start drawing a pillow, shaded to follow the light patterns made by the various shadow casters upon her head resting area.

Before I can even get my pencils and pad out, however, mumbling coming from her mouth catches my ears...

"...zzz...velvet...drapes...zzz..."

It is unclear what exactly Sayuri is dreaming about, if her incoherent snippets of speech are even related to her dream.

Interesting...I wonder what this does!

I cross my arms and smirk.

"Teal in color. Light shines upon them."

Sayuri smiles calmly and nods, continuing to slumber on.

"...zzz...To...kyo...zzz..."

I sit on the desk next to the slumbering Sayuri, facing her with an ankle on my other leg.

"Ah yes, Tokyo. A very nice place, especially at night time."

"That is...until Arabic people from antartica crashland into a building and invade Japan!"

I make an explosion noise with my mouth.

"PUKSHH!"



God, please stay asleep-this is getting fun!

Sayuri's face twitches slightly. "...watch...out...zzz..."

"They're getting away in their car! Quick-Lieutenant Motozaki, you are a tank commander in the Japanese Defence Force. This is your gunner speaking-what are your orders?"

I put my top row of teeth against my bottom lip and start to make a, surprisingly good, impression of a Japanese sports car driving away with my mouth. Complete with a peel out, shifting, and distance effects through time of start.

*dvvvvVVVVVVDVVDVVDVVDVDVDVvdvvvvvdvvVVdvvVVdvVVvVvvvvvvvvvvvVVVVVVVV-* whistle *vvvvvvvvvvvvvvVVVVVVVVV-* whistle *vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvVVVVVVVV-....*

It's at this point that I get a couple onlookers for a moment.

The noise of the car impression startles Sayuri awake. "Ready the ammuni-" She pauses mid-order, her brain catching up with her body. "...eh? V-Veach-san?"

Sayuri's face begins to redden. Oh God, I fell asleep in class again.

I shuffle the bangs from my face and give a good chuckle.

"Heheheh-have an exciting dream?"

Leaning back on the desk, the light from the midday sun lays upon my body. A slight shadow cast upon my legs of a waking girl.

"I...don't really remember it..." Please tell me I wasn't talking in my sleep again...

"Hm. Well, either way you fell asleep and I thought you might want someone to wake you so you don't miss your next class-is all."

I spin around on the desk with my behind and dismount it.

"Oh...well, that was very considerate of you. Thank you, Veach-san."

"E' nulla!"

I put my hands against the door. Making a loud drum beat as I pass outward a little more entertained than when I came in.

"Arrivederci!"

What was that last part? Was he speaking Spanish? "Uhh...goodbye."
