Re: [Open] Sleepy In Times Square
[btw in japanese schools, it's the teachers that go from class to class, not the students]
As the conversation drew on, the crowd around the two had dwindled. Now only a few students here and there were walking by. One of them happened to be Chiharu.
As she approached them, she jumped into the conversation as if she was already apart of it.
"Well, not neccesarily, some people lie without even thinking about it. With or without reason."

Re: [Open] Sleepy In Times Square
(I didn't know that, actually. Trying to think of another reason for them to be out in the halls... Maybe Sora was going to his locker to get some stuff for the next class. Yeah, that'd work. Makes some of his previous dialogue inaccurate, though, about how he said he'd be getting to his next class.
Wait
Sora went to his locker to get some stuff for the next class only to find that he'd brought it to the classroom ahead of time and forgotten, so he was returning to class. That'll work even better.)
"With words?" I request specification.

"Plenty of people say things without thinking about it beforehand, I don't see why it would be any different with lies."

[You learn something everyday. I didn't know it either.]
"Compulsive liars exsist."
I brush the bangs, I just noticed were there, from my face.
"That's why the term 'compulsive liar' exists."
...How did the conversation come to this?

[Let's just say it's right after lunch.]
Chiharu shrugs and blinks once as she begins replying.
"I suppose.. I've never met one though. I wonder what they are like"
She then looks past the two boys and seems to fixate here gaze on the non-existent horizon behind them.

Re: [Open] Sleepy In Times Square
I've seen people who lie about who they are through the way they act in general, and have yet to find any reason for such an act, but I've not seen someone tell a more simple lie without a reason for doing so. I guess I'll take their word for it.
"But there are terms for things that don't exist, like 'dragon' and 'omniscience.'""That's why the term 'compulsive liar' exists."

Chiharu remains silent in thought.

"I guess not. I didn't think there were people who could fall asleep standing up in a busy hallway, so maybe it's just another thing I'd never thought about."

She looks back to the two boys in front of herself and says, "I was wondering why you two decided to have a conversation in the middle of the hall."

Re: [Open] Sleepy In Times Square
"I woke him up because he can fall alseep standing up in a busy hallway and then we kept talking." I explain. "I don't see why having a conversation in a hallway is different from having a conversation somewhere else. Unless we were having a conversation in space, because that wouldn't work. Then the hallway would be different."

"A conversation in space..."
I drift off into a daydream about us having a conversation in space and then getting the bright idea to do a zero-G front flip and then never be able to stop.
Wait, no....no, I wouldn't be able to start doing one in the first place, would I? I'd just look like I'm trying to t-bag a kill in Halo, wouldn't I?...

"We couldn't talk because there'd be no air." I clarify. "Maybe we could write." Hopefully my scribbles could pass as communication.

"What about space suits?"
"It would be a rather short conversation without those and they have radios."

"I didn't know they had radios." I admit. Another thing I'd never thought about. "I guess talking in space wouldn't be too different."

Chiharu doesn't seem to be paying any attention to the two boys as she is looking down the hall and slightly to the left.

Re: [Open] Sleepy In Times Square
(Assuming "*English*" means you transitioned to English and the following word was in English.)
I don't have a response to whatever noise it is Veach just made. I think that was an adjective in English, actually, but my memory is now as reliable as it always has been and refuses to tell me what it means.
As I look around absent-mindedly while trying to remember, I notice that-one-girl-that-I-don't-know-the-name-of looking down the hall. I look where she looks like she's looking but there doesn't immediately look to be anything interesting to look at. (Said "look" five times in that sentence, before you count.)
Come to think of it, she wasn't always here. This conversation started with Veach and I, and then later in the conversation she was here, but how did she get there? Oh, right, she just figuratively jumped in like she was always there. The last time I tried that, someone left...
"Are you looking at something or are you thinking and forgot to look like you're not thinking?"
I'll ask her how she managed to get into this conversation later.

"Hmm?"
Chiharu tilts her head slightly to look at Sora with raised brows as she asks.
"How can someone look like they're not thinking?"
<And why would they want to?>

Re: [Open] Sleepy In Times Square
I probably didn't word that very well.
"People think about things other than what they're saying or doing. Some people will keep doing things or saying things while they think so it's not obvious that they're not actually paying attention, and some people stop doing anything so they can think easier. But I guess since you didn't know that anyway you were looking at something?"

Meanwhile, I am standing still off to the side and very much look like I'm not thinking in the slightest...

(I feel like Chiharu's supposed to reply next.
Did you forget about the thread or is everybody waiting for everybody else to say something simultaneously or are you busy or some other thing...?
'pologies if I seem impatient.)

Re: [Open] Sleepy In Times Square
She shakes her head slightly.
"No, I wasn't looking at anything in particular, mostly just thinking, but I'm always thinking about something so I guess technically my external action was looking at something."
She then points to a clock on the wall to her right with her thumb and says, "Speaking of actions, we should get to class."
[ooc: sorry I forgot.]

We've been in such a state for a while now."Speaking of actions, we should get to class."
Shortly after that thought, I realize it's a prompt, not just a random observation.
"I suppose so."
