Maybe I can find some new manga to read here...

(Christopher stops into Yamaku's expansive library upon his "rest period". He scans through the plethora of aisles looking for Lord only knows what.) {Huh, I never considered myself the bookworm type. My reads over the years where usually limited to either whatever manga had the most attractive cover art, or anything on a required reading list for a few of the schools I've attended in the past.} (Christopher wanders into the fiction section of the library, out of habit, until he is halted in his rather detailed survey of the library by a fetching childrens book. He lifts the book off of it's shelf to take a gander at the title; "Curious George". Christopher's eyes glisten with curiosity, much like the book's title character, and he remains completely enveloped in the book for what seems like days.)

Yuriko walks into the library, book in hand, and spots one of the people that was in the Gym yesterday sitting alone at a table, absorbed in some sort of Western comic.

No harm in taking up the empty space, I guess...

She makes her way to his table and quietly sits down across from him and opens her braille copy of Stephen King's The Stand.

I may suck at reading these damned dots, but if I don't start hard, I'll never learn!

After her little motivational speech she attempts to read.

(Christopher is barely able to peer up from his read to see Yuri-chan sitting quietly in front of him. Christopher speaks in a whisper upon addressing Yuri-chan.) Hey, Yuri-chan.

She looks up, her fingers never leaving the book, still slowly scanning the pages. "Hello, what's that you're reading there?"

Um... (Christopher begins to feel a bit embarrassed that he's been seen reading a such a rudimentary book. He mumbles his response to Yuri-chan's question.) Curious George, Yuri-chan.

She smiles her usual smile. "I used to read that all the time when I lived in California. I don't think I've seen one in Japanese though..." she tilts her head, trying to think if she's seen one in Japanese.

(Christopher is relieved that Yuri-chan is so accepting of his fascination with childrens books.) I'm surprised that I found such a book in a school for advanced learning.

She nods. "People read all kinds of stuff, I would expect that they'd have a little bit of everything."

(Christopher peers over at Yuri-chan's read.) What are you reading there, Yuri-chan?

She hold up the book before she realizes he probably can't read braille on the spine. She blushes at her blunder. "Um... Stephen King's The Stand."

(Christopher, as much as he tries to, fails to effectively mask his smile upon seeing Yuri-chan's delicate blush. Christopher lets out an exuberant smile as a result.) Stephen King, eh? I do enjoy the horror genre as a whole; although, I never took the time to read one of King's novels.

she looks down at the book. "I've only read this one. I figured I'd try and hone my braille by reading hard stuff..." She looks back up at him. "It's not working so well... This book mixed with braille is incredulously difficult."

Difficult in what way, Yuri-chan?

She spins the book and slides it along the table towards him. "Try to pick out the individual dots on that page... It's really hard!"

(Leaning froward to grab the book at the center of the table, Christopher doesn't even bother to adhere to Yuri-chan's request.) You got me... (Christopher says in an entirely half-hearted tone.)

She giggles at how he doesn't even bother to try. "Braille is a pain in the ass... Stupid eyes..." She says her last two words with an underlying tone of hatred.

(Christopher does his best to ease Yuri-chan's spontaneous criticism of herself. He looks directly into her mismatched eyes.) Yuri-chan, does it mean anything to you that I think you have indredibly pretty and exotic eyes?

Her blush deepens tenfold. "B-Baka! They're not pretty!" she looks down, her blush still extremely prevalent.

(Christopher stares at his lap, allowing Yuri-chan to calm down.)

After a few minutes her blush goes down but she keeps her gaze fixed on the floor, using her bangs to hide her eyes.

Why does everybody have to compliment me like that... I don't like it...

(Christopher stares at Yuri-chan once again.) I've enjoyed our conversation, Yuri-chan, but now I must on my way. You take care of yourself, ma'am. (Christopher flashes what could be considered his first ever genuine smile at Yuri-chan shortly before leaving the library with his copy of "Curious George" in hand.)

She mumbles a goodbye before resuming the difficult task of reading her book.
