I'm worrying too much... [Private]

Wade knocks a few times on the door of Kurai's apartment and steps back. ("You're worrying too much, Wade...") he thinks for a moment.

For the last three days, he had been trying to reach Andrea's phone, with no success at all. Every single time he called, it went straight to voice mail. His sister was a businesswoman, so it was highly unusual for her to leave her phone off for so long. Was it possible that something had happened to her? No, of course not, she was probably just taking a small vacation or something.

Wade holds his breath as he hears the door being unlocked from the inside, sincerely hoping he'd see his sister open it.

Kurai opens the door and looks at him slightly upset.

"Hey...your that boy that was with my daughter...what are you doing here?"

He wipes his eyes and lights a cigarette as he starts closing the door on him.

'Huh?' Wade steps back as he recognizes Hitomi's father. 'What the hell are you doing here? Did I get the wrong address or something? My sister gave me this one...' He reaches inside his pocket and takes out a piece of paper, then verifies the address. It takes him a few seconds to finally put two and two together. 'GAH! D-DON'T TELL ME YOU'RE MY SISTER'S BOYFRIEND!!!'

"This is my apartment...and if your sister is Andrea then yes I am...why are you here? You asking my daughter out again or something?"

He keeps the door open a bit as he exhales the smoke in Wade's face.

"Or are you here to talk to Andrea? Because I can tell you right now, I haven't seen or heard from her in a while."

'Oh, you gotta be kidding me... I always knew she had no taste in men, but this is ridiculous!'

Wade starts coughing from the smoke, then growls out and makes a fist with his right hand. He only stops himself from punching Kurai out after hearing him mention he hadn't seen her. Instead, the boy simply grabs him by the shirt and pulls him forward, showing a surprising amount of strength and dexterity for someone his age. 'What do you mean you haven't seen her in a while? What have you done to her?!?'

"Let go of me you fucking punk!"

He pushes Wade off and straightens his shirt.

"I haven't done anything to her. I haven't seen her in quite a while. She didn't tell me anything. Your guess is as good as mine alright? Calm down."

He sighs and opens his door for him.

"Get in here before people start freaking out."

'I swear, if you've even--' Wade growls out, then looks around and notices a few people staring at him. Reluctantly, he walks in, keeping his eyes on Kurai just to be safe.

"Sorry folks...he is just a little upset."

He awkwardly waves as he closes the door behind the two of them.

"So...do you know where she is?"

'I don't have a clue! That's why I'm here!' Wade says and leans back against a wall, then covers his face with his palms. 'I've been trying to call her for three days, and it goes straight to voice mail every time! I've known her for literally all my life, and she has NEVER been unreachable like that, not even once! Shit...'

"Calm down bud...I am having the same problems as you. Just give her some time and space. She has been gone for a while so she probably feels overwhelmed. Yes it does worry me that she hasn't talked to me or you even but I am sure she has reasons."

He stamps out his cigarette and places his hand on Wade's shoulder.

"So I assume you are related to the man that almost killed me?"

'So you don't find it suspicious at all that she just... disappeared, without telling her brother or her boyfriend anything at all? That doesn't sound like her at all!' Wade objects, then pulls his shoes off and walks into the living room uninvited and sits down on the couch. 'I have no idea what you're talking about' he responds briefly after Kurai's done talking.

"Am I suspicious? Yeah...I am a little. But we waited for each other for 15 years so I doubt she is just going to betray me like that for no reason. I know she normally would tell us but like I said, she might just feel overwhelmed."

He sits in the single recliner across from him.

"She is okay. I promise."

'How can you be so sure she's okay?!?' Wade raises his voice, with obvious concern in his eyes. 'Do you know something I don't? I mean, come on, ANYTHING could've happened! Don't just assume she "felt overwhelmed" or something! Overwhelmed by what?!?'

"I don't know...I'm just trying to think of this positively. Maybe you should too...also please keep quiet. My daughter is studying for her classes. She has been pretty distraught lately so it's best not to disturb her."

He looks at him sternly.

'Oh? Oh, SHE'S distraught? Well, I'm so sorry, I will most certainly try not to disturb her, then! I mean, I'm only worrying about my sister's life and stuff, but I'm sure Hitomi must have it so much worse! Like, her rich boyfriend only took her to a four star restaurant or something!'

"She found out something about our family...Be respectful you piece of shit!"

He looks visibly angry at him.

"I know your situation is bad. So is hers."

'Oh, she found out something about her family? WELL, TOUGH SHIT! I MAY FIND MY OWN SISTER IN A FUCKING MORGUE!!!' Wade yells out and stands up. 'You don't even fucking get it, do you?!? If I lose her...' he closes his eyes and exhales, desperately trying to calm himself down. ("This isn't the time to waste energy like that...") Finally, the boy turns around. 'I'll keep looking for her. Feel free to sit on your ass and, ahem, "think of it positively". Cuz, you know, that's just gonna help so fucking much!'

"Well at least you knew who she was! Hitomi just fond out that her father died a month after she was born! So you know what I am going to do? I AM going to sit here. I am giving her space. I will think of it positively because it's the only thing keeping me happy at the moment."

He stands up and opens the door for him.

"Now please...would you kindly leave."

'Oh, you're happy, huh? Well, that just makes everything better! Nothing else matters as long as you're happy, right!' Wade proclaims sarcastically, feeling disgusted. 'And you can't make me stay here for another second even if you wanted to!' he says and puts his shoes on, then storms out of the house to continue his search. ("Damn it, sis, how could you let this guy in your life? I thought you knew better than that! Ugh, it doesn't matter right now! Just please be okay!")
