Tea Room Alpha

A quiet monotone voice echos through the corridor ouside of the tea room. From a distance various noises can be heard.

'Shight, I forgot to mispell it so it worked!'
'Crown me moon king!'
*The A-Team theme song coded to make the voice sing* 'Duh~DUH~~duh~~~~~~duh~DUH~~DUH~~~~~~~'

Yes, in the room is me playing Moonbase Alpha on my laptop. It may be an unpopular game but it wont ever completely die even-what, 18 years?-simply because of how friggen funny it is to play. [Free and is the absolute BEST party music you'll ever find hearing what people have to say in the background. X"D]

*typetypetypetype-tap!*

'Dude I am a moon man like John Madden and you shall all bow to me and the mighty Madden and I shall be crowned moon king!'

*typetype-tap!*

'Or I'll blow you all up with this bomb!' *picks up power coupler*

*type-tap!*

'Whoops too late!' *Places power coupler next to a group of three players.*

My player calls out,'Terrorists win!'

Little do I know that I am probably either making a bit of a disturbance or making huge laughs and curiosity for anyone outside the room or nearby in any way.

Yuuji passes by the Tea room with no sound at first but then booming sound from the heavens emerges. He looks back he can see the door vibrating.
What is going on in there?!
He slowly opens the door but leaves it only half open;taking a peek inside only seeing a laptop on the table
Please don't let it be who I think it is... doing....yea
[b]Terrorists win![b]
That sound...no it can't be... counter strike?
Yuuji opens the door seeing Veach
"Veach!!! Too LOUD!!!"

"Eh~sorry."

I turn it down, a little glad he didn't come in on one of the more bad parts someone had to say.

When you play a game like this you begin to find exactly what the internet currently likes or dislikes and even how racist and improper it can be.

'Captain Awesome likes it up the ass!'
'John~Ma~DDEN John~Ma~DDEN.'

I thought too soon.

Yuuji twitches a bit upon hearing that
"M_maybe I should go..."

I don't think he knows 'Captain Awesome' is my Steam account but it's better safe then sorry to deny it.

"Errrm...That isn't true."

*Coding making the voice increadibly high pitched* 'Dude, I just got kick in the-'

the mute button is hit almost automatically, sending the faucet of pure internet that is my speakers into silence.

I have an embarrassed look on my face. A dry, quiet laugh escapes my mouth.

"Eh-hehh~hehh~hehh~..."

And then a look of shame on my now bowed head.

"I hate the internet sometimes."

I'm scared... I don't know whether to just leave or go over and talk with the guy
"Right....Ummm I'm afraid to ask but what were you watching man?!"
Yuuji takes a few steps forward then stops looking at Veach, concerned

When Yuuji comes over he sees this:



"It's an old game from a while back. NASA made it free on the internet for general knowledge and training purposes but they really overestimated the internet."

"Instead it became the bluntest form of internet's knowledge to players from other players."

"Even more blunt then something like 4chan at the time."

"The reason for that is it has text to speech so, if you know how misused text-to-speech was, you'll know that it's even worse on here."

"Many times it's the funniest crap you'll ever hear and on some occasions you'll hear the weirdest bromancing speech ever."

I crack a grin remembering some of the funnier parts of it as well as my first time on it.

Okay it was only a game... this is why assuming is bad. thank you Karma!
"Looks interesting but why all the funn- wait its the internet what am I saying?"
Yuuji takes another look at it
"So how do you play?"

"You're supposed to fix the broken oxygen supply but you'll probably get made fun of if you actually play it right."

It is hard to not chuckle after this statement.

"It's free to download on Steam so random people will come on often."

"Since there is so much relaxation you get people often saying entertaining things."

"I tell you, it's the best party background noise ever if you are with people who aren't easily offended."

I flip on the volume again and type 'tyrone stole the purple drank!'

Almost like magic, all 4 other players respond:
'Chit get it together tyrone!'
'aeiou?'
'john madduuuuuuuu~!...'
'Not the purple drank! Get tyrone's bich ass back here!'

"See? Not a care in the world."

"It's censored so if you want to type more than just 'ass' than you need to find out what sounds like what."

"For instance, that guy up there said 'chit' because it sounds like shit."

"If you type 'shit'..." (kuso)

*Type-tap*

'****' comes up in it's place.

'Asterisks'

ah internet...
"Not a care in the world... Hmmm I might be 'playing' this soon just for kicks."
Yuuji chuckles and sits down
"you want anything to drink friend?"

Too friggen easy bro. Tooooo friggen easy.

"I would like some purple drank but Tyrone took it all."

And then I respond with a more serious answer.

"Nah, man, I'm not really in the mood for anything like that."

okay I walked into that one
Yuuji raises his hand
"Very well."
Yuuji gets up and head to the tale with all the materials
"Veach You ready for the party?"

*E* Damn-fuggin-straight I am!

"Yes, I am. It should be a great little gathering. When would it be, do you know?"

It is almost scary to me how different I speak in my mind to how I speak in normal speech.

Maybe it's all the Moonbase Alpha....

"I actually don't know really but I'm assuming its tomorrow."
Yuuji heats up some tea for himself and waits
"But I can't wait anymore!"

"You aren't going to drink again, are you?"

My voice is flat but teasing.

Yuuj turns around violently
"NO! Like I said when we talked the other day no alcohol! "

Having grown up with three older brothers-the oldest being seven years older than me-has taught me to defend myself hard.

It is also genetics. My father was the same way when he grew up with three older sisters.

At the slightest insult or raising of voice in a negative way I can shoot right back. My temper is not a very good one when it comes to anything negative at all and this has been noticed by quite a few people. Especially Cook when he saw what I do to anyone laughing at a disability in action.

My facial expression may be unphasing but my eyes show toxin to anyone who would look into them.

With a tongue of fire, I spit my words like 9mm from a Tompson submachinegun.

"Is that truely obvious like you make it out to be, liar?"

"If I remember correctly, you had told me you hadn't bought any alcohol."

"How did that errand of your's, you went on after our get-together, go-by the way?"

I haven't heard anything on it but it is safe to assume for me that something like that simply cannot go right.

My eyes now show enough toxin to be visable to anyone who can't read eyes.

My voice much deeper but a little quieter with a slight German accent now.

"Dun't yueh dare speak to me Ih' such a manner ever again, boy."

The boy at the end is meant to emphasize my opinion of his reaction of being childish as well as my unhesitant attitude on even the slightest transgression upon me.

Yuuji sighs remembering what happened that day...
"never again..." He says silently
"The errand I ran was for Rachel. buy more food for cooking and I can prove it to you that I did no buy any alcohol."
Yuuji takes out his wallet from his back pocket. He pulls out a small piece of paper that looks like a receipt and throws it over to Veach
"Tell me if you see any alcohol drinks."

My voice is normal volume now but it still has a hard bight to it.

*German* "Calm yourself, asshole."

I don't even bother looking at the reciept's words. Just the paper itself as it connects to my palm infront of my face.

"What does any of this have to do with me?"

I throw the cumpled paper to the side of me.

"Take the fruit of your own actions like a man. Don't put them upon others."

He did what is the complete oppasite of my principles.

"You may be my friend, but I wont ever let you force them upon me."

Unless he were to ask nicely. That is my basic mental code.

"I just wanted to prove a point Veach, that is all." Yuuji walks over and Reaches out his hand
"No hard feelings friend."

My voice looses the accent even further and becomes normal again.

"Tch..."

My hand makes a wide, side detour to his hand like the Pawn Stars shake.

"None, mate."

"Don't go negative on me no more, though."

Apologies have always been my temper's weakness.

"Never again!" He says proudly, letting go of Veach's hand he goes back to his tea, pours it and sits back down on the table
"Veach you have any plans today?"

My computer seems to answer for me but incorrectly in a monotone voice.

'UUUUUuuuuuuuuu-!'
'Gay sex gay sex g-!' *click*

The mute button is tapped on once again.

"Eeh. No."

"As for today, I have none."

Yuuji face palms
Internet....
Yuuji relaxes himself and looks at Veach again
"SO no plans right?"

"None."

I start cursing the internet and explaining what just happened on the game with the sound off. Giving the players an interesting story to tell the next person they introduce Moonbase Alpha to.
