[Open] A Few Every Now And Then...

"Heh-eh!-three.."

"Hahuh-..four.."

Five minutes earlier...

*Poot-pit-poot-pit*

The sound of my indoor shoes echo in the empty hallway.

I pass the door to the gym.

On the third second after, I appear in the sight of the gym once more.

The pull up bar. It's-...It's set up...

...

Maybe a few...

I hop in the air and motor my legs, in a clockwise fashion, to the left, toward the door while I stay facing forward. Only turning once a full circle is completed with my legs and I land on my feet.

I spring into the room and set down my bag.

Throughout my life, I don't know why, I've always wanted a personal pull up bar. Regardless of my physical size.

When was the last time I got to use one of these? Primary school, right? Yeah.

Could only do one while other kids could do multiple. Was the lowest scoring boy and among the lowest in girls.

Was freakin' awful.

I stand under the bar. Looking up at the bar.

I don't expect much but lets see how much this body can do now!

A grin breaks through the wall of shadow upon my face.

"Whouh."

I leap up on the bar.

"One."

I lower myself so my head is under the bar and raise it so my chin reaches over again.

"Hn-two."

"Heh-eh!-three.."

Dammit, what have I gotten myself into?

"Hahuh-..four."

Itsuki approached the gym with bow in hand after a sleepless night. He thought he heard someone inside and stopped for a moment to listen. Sure enough there was someone inside. It was rare he encountered anyone else in the gym this early. He stepped into the gym and saw a student he had seen around, but never me in person.

He watched the person complete a pull-up before saying, "Well I haven't seen anyone this early in awhile."

I lower myself.

"Haven't been-"

One more-come on.

"Hm-mh!"

I kick with both my legs to get me up.

One more-one more!

"Five!"

I just barely make it over the bar before I release.

*Thud*

*Sigh*

I'm so-damn weak...

"-this early in a while-is that a bow?..."

My statement runs into a more pressing question to me.

"Yeah it's a bow," replied Itsuki.

He was used to people asking such questions by now.

"I come here to practice archery. Though usually I'm alone."

"I have done similar but..."

A bow is a little less grey area than tonfas and more black.

I grin.

"Did you even get the OK on that?"

Itsuki shrugged.

"They let me set up targets and shoot, so I assume they're okay with it."

So it's just that teacher...

"Nice. I wouldn't let the young-looking teacher find you in here, though. He didn't exactly like what he saw."

Idea.

"Tell you what. Dress for the weather and meet me in the lobby of the boys dormitories an hour-and-a-half after school. I think you'll appreciate a discovery of my own."

"Okayyyy," said Itsuki, "I'm Itsuki Maki. And before I meet with you I feel I should know your name."

"Veach Satoshi."

I lift my bag over my shoulder and make my way toward the door to end our short encounter.

"And no worries about being blown off. I hate when it's done to me."
