Jun's response is no more than a shrug of her shoulders.
Why is he asking me

Jun seems somewhat confused before she writes her response.
I set my terms, it would only be fair if you set your own.

"That's not how it works…" he sighed, tearing off another bite of anpan.
"You make a wager, you offer terms for both sides.
Something you think is of equivalent value given the odds. Whatever you think is fair.
Then the other side accepts, declines, or counters.
"So, what do you have to offer?"

Jun was deep in thought for a while before she shrugged again before writing her short response.
I really can't think of anything. What do you want?

Toshi rolled his eyes in annoyance.
What would I even ask?
Not like I need help with my classwork. I'll probably end up helping her even if I win.
Doesn't seem the type to be into music much. And I doubt she'd be interested in karate.
"I have no idea. What other kinds of stuff do you do?"

I'm kinda crap at cooking, I doubt he would want me in his laundry... Wow, I've been so focused on one goal, I have kind of forgotten about pretty much everything else.
A short moment of thought passes before Jun lets out a sudden smirk before replying.

I could promise to share my fame and fortune when I get into a team.

"That's not really 'other stuff,' and it sounds highly conditional," he said with his own amused smirk.
Re: [OPEN] A New Generation
Jun is interrupted before she can finish writing her response by the bell signifying the end of lunch. Rather than finishing, she simply assumes he will understand the necessity to return to class and begins preparing to do so herself. While she was gathering her things, what she had written was clear to see for a couple moments before she grabbed that as well.
Think of it as an

Toshiaki eyed the paper questioningly, disposing of his trash and heading for the stairs.

On their way back to class, the crowd swells around them, and Jun is separated from Toshi. Due to her height, or lack there of, she is quite difficult to spot in the crowd.

Re: [OPEN] A New Generation
Toshiaki lost her in the crowd as she disappeared beneath the clustered heads of the other students.
He made his way back to room 1-1, his long stride carrying him swiftly through the crowded halls.
He seated himself at his desk, opening his briefcase and withdrawing a notebook for the next class.

Jun enters the room, awkwardly managing to escape the throng of students outside the door. She adjusts her glasses before giving the teacher a short wave and making her way over to her seat. Upon taking her seat, she begins looking outside the window next to her.

Toshi opened his novel again as he waited quietly for their history teacher to begin her lesson, most of the other students still dragging themselves back from lunch.

After a pleasant lunch with his old teacher, Hawke welcomes the two back from lunch with a smile.

Re: [OPEN] A New Generation
Once the final bell signalling the end of the lunch period,Mihoko stood up in front of the class ready to begin.
"Alright everyone, take your seats it time for class to begin. As I'm sure you're aware Mr.Hawke is observing your class today, I hope you've been showing him the same respect you would any other teacher. That being said, lets get underway." She said, as she wrote a rather famous quote on the board.
"Those who fail to learn the lessons of history are doomed to repeat them."
She then underlined the quote and said
"I want you all to write this down, not only as a reminder, but also as a statement. A statement that says...Yes, my history teacher really IS that cliché"

Santayana. Good choice, Toshi thought to himself as he copied the line into his notebook.
Although I think it was "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it."
As true in other words, though.

Jun hesitates for a moment before copying the quote down on to her page.
Seems kind of like a pointless exercise. But hey, it's easy enough to follow, let's just hope the rest of the class stays that way.

Hawke simply hovers near the front desk, keeping an eye on the students.
History... ugh. I can never remember all the stupid little dates.

Re: [OPEN] A New Generation
{Mihoko, unless you have something specific in mind, going to move this along}
Toshi followed the lecture, taking detailed notes as always. Things he had covered before, but a fair amount of review was to be expected at the beginning of the year, after all.
His mind occasionally drifted back to his discussion with Jun, but he kept himself on task.
The time passed more quickly in the afternoon, it seemed, and the hour was quickly approaching its end.
And last core class ought to be Japanese, then.

Re: [OPEN] A New Generation
Being the first day of the semester, the majority of the class was easy introductory material and the entire experience was fairly painless for Jun as she finished the small assignment quite quickly. After handing it in, being the third to do so, she returned to her seat and patiently waited for the last 15 minutes of school to come to a close while she looked out the window next to her desk.

Re: [OPEN] A New Generation
Toshiaki sat quietly reading, as he had finished the simple assignment within minutes.
The last bell of the day rang, the majority of the class running for the door. Toshi packed his things away neatly and fetched the notepad from his pocket. He scribbled out a sentence and passed it to Jun.

Re: [OPEN] A New Generation
Having forgotten about what she had begun to write before, she took the note and examined it blankly before moving her eyes forward looking towards Toshi above her glass when her face suddenly takes on a very confused expression.
