Night Falls on Hoboken [Open]

After weeks of seclusion from her peers and her own brother, trapped under homework and self-imposed guitar perfecting, Chika decides to take an evening dip into the school pool for relaxation. Her social life was compromised by her lack of enthusiasm for interaction as she deemed her practice more important and necessary. But as the days and weeks rolled on, Chika found herself lonely. Wanting company. Even a superficial buddy to laugh with at petty, risque humor. All friendships were superficial in her eyes..but still she wanted it.

Sumiko opens the door to the pool. Her red hair covers most of her face, and Her long sleeve shirt.
She looks around and see young girl already here
I think I came at a bad time... Sumiko thinks to herself but with the chance to meet someone new she walks up to the young girl and greets her
"H-Hello..."

I enter the pool area hoping to get a good work out and put some meat on my bones as well as practice certain mental techniques.

I've worked out at the gym a few times but it doesn't feel as good as a pool.

I come out of the boy's locker room showered and in a bathing suit to find another body in the room.

Hmmmmm. Who's this girl?

Why does her face seem familiar to me...

My voice is a little quiet out of a slight shyness but it is still loud enough for someone to easily hear what I say from her position.

"Mind if I come in?"

I speak as I step down the pool's steps. It'd be too intrusive to ask such a thing and then jump in after all.

Stepping in doesn't seem like it would show disrespect or anything.

As I step in further I feel that the water is quite cold compared to the warm shower the school has a rule for you to take before entering the pool.

Disipointingly, I am not by enough energy to heat the water that touches my skin and I don't feel like using my own body's energy so I need to just bare with it and take it like a man.

...Which becomes harder and harder to do the deeper in I go.

I do get into the main pool but I look a bit like a-*ehem*-a little bitch doing so, with my arms bent and slightly up and my posture completely straight, to avoid getting my upper body cold.

It takes a little but I start to lower myself a bit at a time to get used to the water.

Just then the door opens behind me to reveal a rather petite-sized girl.

Chika's head perks up as she back paddles the length of the lake. A wry smile stretches across her lips and she waves lazily.

"Yo~ "

She dunks herself and splashes up at the edge of the pool where the girl is standing near.

"Waters fine, if you you wanna hop in. No need to be shy, dear~"

She turns toward Ryuu giving him a friendly wink.

"You're shaking like a toothache there, man! Quit bein' a puss and dive in! Or...."

Chika disappears under the water and wraps her arms around him, easing up against him as she comes out of the water.

"We can just get close and warm each other up, little man~"

Sumiko sits on the edge of the pool he feet dipped in. She watches as the girl gets a little to... close to the boy that was here.

When the girl in the pool dips under water I begin to try and speak with the smaller one but am interupted by a desturbance in the force.

WHOAWHOA-I DON'T EVEN KN-! HOLY CRAP-THAT'S COLD!!

My face blushes quite a bit.

I start to studder a hell-of-a-lot more than the relaxed me.

Even if she knew I had a studder, I'm pretty sure she would recognize that I'm doing it more than usual.

"H-heheh he-hey!"

My arms and elbows come in close to my chest and-..apparently...her's....

'-little man~'

Hey-whaddaya mean 'little man?' Not my fault I'm an asian stereotype, I was born that way!

I'm just hoplessly confused and bombshelled right now.

"I-I-I-I'm Ryuu T-T-T-Taketanicetomeetyou!"

My wrist bends and my palm opens into hand-shaking position while my face has a really shy and surprised smile fulled from being taken aback so badly.

Chika laughs and speaks in her easygoing, husky voice.

"Ha ha, relax, man~ Might get cramps if you shake too much though...the stiffy on my leg is much appreciated but no funny ideas now! Hehehe...but nice to meet you as well, Ryuu. I'm Chika. Don't call me spunky. My parents only call me that..."

She gives him a little lick on the nose and submerges herself once more.

Sumiko finally decides to jump into the pool. The cold water hits her flesh instantly;you can see her visibly shaking.
She looks at the both of them when the young girls licks the boys nose and Sumiko submerges herself red face and all.

Chika pops her head just above the water, right next to Sumiko.

"Don't worry. I got you covered too...."

Sumiko slightly moves to the side
"W-What do you mean...?"

'The stiffy on my leg-'

WHAT ABOUT YOUR TITS ON MY FOREARMS, HUH?!

AND-...but spunky is the ONLY thing to describe you!

It isn't until she goes underwater that I get a small nosebleed.

"G-god..hhh~what did-did I get mys-self into?"

'I got you covered too.'

[ I'm sorry to go OOC but my sides. Ryuu, you're rupturing them.]

Chika giggles and dives back under the water, paddling up on her back and floating about.

"Geez...you two are a buncha stiffs."

Sumiko goes underwater swing toward Ryuu. She reemerges next to him
"W-what just happened?"

"D-don't ask me-I-...hhhhIye-just got assaulted! By a girl!"

"I dn-..didn't think that was..eeeven possible!"

We aren't stiffs!...Okay maybe I am-but her-!...Okay-so maybe she probably is too...sh-shut up!

"N-not my fault I'm n~-not used to that..."

A fire sparks in my heart.

Though, it still doesn't get rid of my stutter-infact it increases it.

"B-b-..but you g-get me whuhuhen I'm ready..a-and I'll show you I'm not!"

I never liked being told I couldn't do something like that.

"Umm..."
Sumiko quietly swims back to an edge of the pool to sulk

"Then come on, big boy! Entertain me~ Let's see what you got."

Chika appears right in front of his face, standing up, smirking.

Look-LOOK Taketa! Look at what your little game of pride has gotten you into again!

Regardless, I quickly form a plan.

Using my mind, I strengthen my spine and arms to normal human strength and sturdyness, pick up the pool girl and toss her like-...well...like:



She doesn't land too far away (Again, strength of a normal boy my age).

I'm not aiming to hurt her and doing something like this can drain my energy pretty easily if I concentrate it enough to have better strength.

It's just to prove I'm not stiff.

...Poor choice in words since I still kind of am a little-I mean prove I'm not a puss.

"W-..w-wut WUT!"

Sumiko swims over to the girl making sure she is okay
"Are you okay?!"

Hawke wanders into the pool for his daily swim, and sees someone YET AGAIN being thrown across the room.


"Seriously, are people at this school obsessed with merciless slaughter?!"

Chika emerges from the water as if she were undead, looking absolutely livid.

"You are fucking dead, you rat bastard!"

She makes her way over to you and starts dragging Ryuu out of the pool by his hair.

"Hawke-san."
Sumiko swims over to the ends of the pool
"Come on in. The water is great."

"Oow OOoow!"

The pulling up of my hair reveals a gruesome scar over the area of my neck by the medulla oblongata and central nervous system which I cover immediately with my hand and pull my hair back with my other even through the pain of it, releasing myself from her grip.

I simply don't care how suspicious it looks. I am not going to reveal such a thing that could jeopardize my secret.

My words are straight from the head without thinking so my stutter is slight.

"H-hey what did you expect me to do?"

"W-what's a little water, anyway?"

What's this girl's deal? Did she expect me to do something like she did when there are other people about the area?

I swear...

My voice isn't yelling or anything but it is definitly stern now.

"I showed y-you I'm no stiff-is what I did. Just like you told me. Like what you wanted."

"Isn't a reason to pull my hair!"

Normally, I wouldn't over react to something like this but the back of my upper-neck is an extremely selfconcious spot for me and causes a subconscious defensive barrier in my attitude when anything having to do with it happens.

"Hey, Sumiko. How goes it?" Hawke says, removing his shirt and slipping into the water (He was wearing swimming shorts anyway).

He looks over at the enraged Ryuu and decides to not get involved, but notices a girl that he's seen wondering around the campus that he hasn't met.

"Don't worry about them. T-They have been doing that since they first got here.... What brings you here?"

Hawke stretches and shakes his head a few times.

"Daily swim! Need to keep my leg exercised. And you?"

Did I tell her about the leg? Meh...
