Where is Wade? pt.2 {Open}

The two made their way up to where Hawke's room was located. As Mizo prepared to knock on the door he said quietly to Toshi
"I hope he knows something."
then rapped three times on the door in succession with the back of his knuckle.
*THONK-THONK-THONK*

"Can only hope," he replied.

While they waited for Hawke, Toshi opened his own door, just across the hall. He entered his room, emerging a moment later with his jacket. Various items rattled in his pockets as he pulled his door closed.

Hawke, having only recently closed the door on Chiharu, groans as he is once again woken up by people banging on his door.

"Just my luck," He mumbles to himself as he drags himself to his feet, "Don't get any visitors for months and then everyone comes on one day while I'm napping..."

Once again leaning on the door frame, he pulls the door open and says, "No, I'm not interested in finding the Holy Land."

"Good thing, because I doubt we're going anywhere so nice," Toshi said flatly.

"We're going looking for Wade. You have any idea where he might be?"

"Any help is really appreciated, I'm just worried about him." Mizo added.

Hawke eyes the pair warily, and slowly shakes his head.

"Haven't a clue. I haven't seen him in a couple of weeks... He was acting a bit strange though. Got really moody all of a sudden."

Hawke glances behind him to look at the state of his room...

Bombshell. Better not invite them in.

"I'm setting off to look for him with Chiharu, though." He finishes quickly, flashing the pair a half-hearted smile. "Are you our rival detective team?"

"Rival? You think this is Holmes and Watson against Mulder and Scully or something?"

Toshi rolled his eyes.

"I don't know why I even bother sometimes."

"Well, we could all team up together. Only problem is I'm afraid I might slow every one down. But I really would like to help."

Wow, I knew he was uptight but he seriously cannot take a joke...

Hawke smirks at Toshi and shakes his head, "Obviously Chiharu and I are Mulder and Scully. My dry wit and her feminine attributes? It only makes sense."

Hawke flicks his gaze over to Mizo and gives him a reassuring smile, "Don't worry, bud," He then points to his injured leg, "Walk at a snail's pace, remember?"

No shit, Mulder. Of course it makes sense. I said it.

"'Obviously,'" he repeated drily. "We gonna go then, or stand around cracking jokes?"

I don't even like the guy, but here I am helping look for him. Last thing I need is for you to not take it seriously.

"OH yeah, that's right. I guess our paces will be rather matched then." he said to Hawke.

Hawke pretends to ponder the question for a few seconds, deliberately attempting to push Toshiaki's buttons. Hawke's defining factor was the fact that he was an easygoing guy, he didn't see the point in getting up in arms about anything. More often than not approaching something with enthusiasm akin to religious fervor was detrimental to the cause, and Hawke's preferred method was a slow and methodical approach. Besides, Wade was resourceful and could look after himself. He might be a complete ass, but he's not a complete idiot.

"I've got nothing better to do." Hawke says simply, then steps out from behind the door and closes it behind him, lock automatically clicking into place. "We should check Kitsune Kissa first, he mentioned that he liked to go there form time to time... weird, seeing as his sister manages it."

"Fair enough," he said flatly.

"But hold on, wasn't Chiharu up here with you?"

"Sounds like as good a place as any to start."

Toshiaki Endō wrote:"But hold on, wasn't Chiharu up here with you?"

"Oh, should we see if she want's to come too?"

"She ran off." Hawke says, smiling politely at the two. "She got a text. I'll give her a ring later and see what she wants to do about... this."

Hawke's eyebrows crash together for a second; an involuntary reaction to the sharp pain that had just appeared behind his right eye for a brief moment. One spell of dizziness later, he smiles again at the pair and gestures down the hallway, saying in a slightly weakened voice, "Shall we be off?"

"You sure you wanna do this right now?" Mizo asked
"You sound a little off."

Hawke gives a nod, ignoring the slight tension in his neck.

"Better late than never." He begins, and starts limping down the hall, "If the worst comes to the worst, Wade might not have long."

Chiharu just took off?
That seems… well, I guess she does do that often.
Must've missed her coming out while I was talking with Mizo.

Toshi frowned at Hawke's wince and waver.
This is gonna be great. A few disabled guys heading out to find a missing delinquent. What could possibly go wrong?

"And what exactly do you expect might be the worst?" Toshi asked as his phone alerted him to a new message.

"Knowing Wade, the Triad kidnapping him or something." Hawke says with a weak smile. "He's probably just run out of battery on his phone and has taken a trip across country, something like that."

"Yeah...I guess that does sound like something he would do."

Triad? Lemme guess, the yakuza and mafia are probably involved too.
Yeah right. Guarantee you, he just took off without telling anyone. Inconsiderate ass.

Toshi pulled his phone from his pocket. His eyebrows furrowed as he read the text message.
Wrong number? Don't recognize it.

"All right. Where should we go looking first?" he asked as he followed Hawke down the hall.

"Ummm...Maybe there's a clue in his room? Anyone know a way we could get in there?"

"Sounds like a job for our resident master lockpicker," Toshi said, nodding to Hawke. "Assuming that the police haven't already been in and cordoned it off, of course."

"Wont know unless we check."

Hawke waves his hand through the air, vaguely, "Sure, sure. Whatever. It's a few floors up I think"
