(Open) Drawing in the Park

Nayumi pulled the edges of the scarf to tighten it a bit more, then leaned back into the bench and looked down at the sketchbook placed in her lap. She didn't know why, but for some reason, the young girl felt an irresistible urge to draw in the local park after waking up this morning. Perhaps it was inspired by a dream she had forgotten, or maybe it was related to the fact that she hadn't left her room in almost a week, not even to go to school. Indeed, the last few days had been... stressful for her. After finding out that the one person she really, REALLY didn't want to meet ever again was now in her own school, Nayumi had panicked and locked herself in the only place where she thought she was safe. It took a change in rooms and a surprise roommate to finally bring her out of the lethargic state she was in.

The girl closed her eyes and sighed. Ichiko was becoming a good friend to her - she was cheerful, optimistic, understanding, interesting and with a desire to be unusual, all of which were qualities Nayumi wished she had. Instead, she couldn't help but be introverted, depressed and just wanting to be normal. The two girls complemented each other perfectly, and, since the opposites attract each other, it was no surprise that they were getting along so well. Which made it so much harder for Nayumi to keep lying to her friend. She knew that she'd need to reveal her secret to her soon, but simply never gathered the courage to openly do so. The girl suspected that Ichiko had already discovered it, but was keeping quiet to avoid stressing her new friend out, but that wasn't anything more than a feeling she had.

Suddenly, Nayumi felt like someone was approaching her. She lifted her big eyes up from the sketchbook and looked at them, wondering who it might be.

Sumiko walks aimlessly through the park, occasionally stopping to look at her necklace.
I hope Chris did not get hurt again she thinks to herself holding back what tears she had left
Not knowing that She had gotten closer to Nayumi ,who was watching her, Sumiko gave a quick look, waved just to be friendly ,and to force a smile out of herself.
