[Open] Nothing like fresh air.

Feeling quite bored and tired of being locked inside the schools main building like a caged dog, Izumi steps out into the open air of the courtyard for a bit. He looks around and basks in the fresh air and clear skies. As he does this he thinks to himself, I don't really care if it's safe to be out here or not, I need some real air, not some artificially procured air that makes me feel like I am in a doctor's office, but some real, nice natural air.

He walks around looking to see if anyone's around and finds naught but disappointment. He can't stand being without anyone to speak to and this annoys him a bit. Defeated, he decides to park himself on one of the benches and rests back on the bench, arms on the back of his head, to bask in the glow of the sun. Undoubtedly, someone will have to come out here at some point, he was sure that no-one in their right mind would stay inside all day, even if there was such a danger. Actually there was a benefit to this danger, most people would probably begin going to places in pairs, and pairs of people, mean well, more people. This would at least relieve him of his bored estate for a while and give him some much needed company.

[OOC: I'm pretty sure this is in the wrong area. If a mod comes on, he'll probably move it to the courtyard.]

Chiharu, while carrying about 6 fairly large books, is making her way slowly accross the courtyard to the dorms from the school library. That is until she realized she isn't as strong as she thought she was and ungracefully sat on the bench next to Izumi.
"Pardon the intrusion, but"
As she sets the stack of books on the other side of herelf on the bench, she continues with "it turns out books are heavy."

[OOC: You know, I could have swore I had it in the courtyard when I was typing this up, anyways, being a mod run character, I moved it once I saw your reply and used the proper account to take care of my blunder. For your observation, I thank you very much.]

Izumi turns toward the girl who had just arrived and looked at the books for a second. For him, this seemed to be a breeze to deal with, it was just a few books and he's lifted much more than this. "Are you implying I help you with this? It wouldn't bother me to, I'd just need to know where we're going. Also, I'll just take this time introduce myself, name's Inaba, Izumi Inaba, Junior."

No matter the case, Izumi always felt weird about speaking if he didn't at least give the person he was speaking to his name and occasionally his grade. After this he gets up and lifts up the books, looking back toward her again as to note that he's waiting for further instruction. He seems to have no issues with any of these for how small he looks.

Chiharu stands up in front of Izumi, not realizing how close he was already standing to be able to grab the books, and gently places her hands around the stack of books while saying, "Oh no, that's not what I was saying at all. I was simply taking a rest and you seemed so peacefully lost in thought, it seemed to me you deserved, an explanation for my.. Interuption." <Although it is an awfully kind gesture>

Izumi blushes a bit out of embarrassment as he stares at the girl slightly bewildered. He was a person of much work, having always been told to do things in his time as a scout he had forgotten that he wasn't one anymore for a moment.

"I didn't know, I've been stuck inside the school for weeks now bored out of my mind, I just wanted something to do I guess." He sits back down and places the books back where they were before. "It's been so long since I had anyone to speak to, I was wondering if I was forgotten about almost, perhaps that was why I expected someone to ask me for a favor. You are in the mood to talk yes?" Izumi looked back at her with a more collected look than what he just gave her a few moments ago, not really expecting her to stay around.

"I don't expect you to be seeing as you're a bit exhausted, it's just I feel as though this day is quite nice, it's been so long since I have felt nature's warmth. It makes me feel better about things."

While sitting down, Chiharu casually says, "Sure, I've got nowhere to be."
She sits back, relaxing her shoulders down, and looks over to Izumi with slightly raised eyebrows and a hint of a smile.
"What did you have in mind?"

Izumi's lips curve a bit to display a faint smile as he speaks.

"You're new here yes? You probably have little interest into what is occurring here recently, that could just be myself speaking but I don't really feel too much in the way of fear. Nothing that has occurred here worries me as much as I feel it should. I don't take it you care much either do you? I was wondering if you're up to walking for a bit, I have nothing to do myself."

Chiharu looks off into the distance for a moment. <This guy could be trying to trick me for all I know. He could be working with the kidnapper. Who am I kidding? This kid wouldn't have the muscle to strangle a bunny.>
But soon returns her gaze to Izumi to say, "How about this,"
She grabs 3 of the books and holds them out. "You help me take these books back to my dorm and I would love to go for a walk with you."

Izumi stares at the books for a second and decides to oblige. No reason why not, I already was going to help her bring those back initially anyways. I really, really need to start doing something before my mind atrophies from boredom.

"I don't see any reason why not, it gives me something to do instead of just laze around here counting clouds." Izumi takes on the three books and gets up ready to assist. "I'll have you lead the way." He looks back in wait. "Anyways, it seems like a fair deal if I get to walk with one such as you."

As chiharu gets up she blushes for but a second while she replies with, "Well, thank you... Oh, and by the way I'm Chiharu", and starts making her way towards the dorms.

Izumi follows her with books in tow, content with the fact that he finally has something to do. The weather seems to be quite nice out with the sun providing just enough warmth to be comfortable and the sky looks to be in a even brighter shade of blue than what seems to be naturally possible, it seems like the perfect day to make a postcard out of. Izumi decides to break from concentrating on the weather to his associate in front of him, he decides to break the silence.

"How are you finding it so far Chiharu? I am sure you've probably are getting quite tired of this question but, I'd really like to know." His heterochromatic eyes seem to stare gently at her not waving off as he's genuinely interested in her response. He feels a bit strange using what seems to be her first name, but places it in the back of his mind as he looks on.

"Actually..."
She looks over to Izumi.
"I think you're the first person who's asked me that. And despite the circumstances, it seems quite peaceful. I've never been in a town that's always so quiet."
<It's definitely nice to be able to go for a stroll without the threat of being trampled, that's for sure>

"You know, that's one of the good things about this town, I wander at times just to let the experiences of life and the world around me sink in a bit. It's nice to be able to hear your own thoughts and reflect as you watch life happen around you. It's what I normally end up doing since there's not much going on here. I also end up going into the forest from time to time." Izumi stops to take a glance at some students chatting away and sharing a laugh. It was things like this that made Izumi feel better about life itself. The fact he can still see these things calms him, he knows that there will be a day in which he will not be able to.

"I've lived in this town my entire life, it's a nice place to be. If you know where to look, you can find all sorts of hidden things."

While tilting her head and raising her eyebrows to show intrigue, Chiharu asks, "Oh, such as?"

Izumi gives her a sly grin "It wouldn't be so hidden if I told you where those things are, you'll have to find them on your own. Some of these things aren't really hidden at all either, they're mostly things people overlook when observing something, it's all a matter of perception then. It's how you look at something that ends up defining a moment. Like for instance we're just walking back to your dorm, but there are so many small things happening around us that we're missing. Even small gestures are often overlooked. Just like how interested you looked a few seconds ago, that look of curiosity suits you."

Izumi smiles as he starts walking again.

<Wow... who is this boy?>

Chiharu pauses for a bit before replying with a smirk, "I don't know, I've been told I'm more perceptive than most."
<Actually I know that for a fact>

"Is that so, then I will ask you just to stop for a second and tell me what you see, hear, I would like to know what you come up with" Izumi seems quite interested in what she has to say. Perhaps she will be the one that takes him away from his boredom after all. It was nice to see a person as inquisitive and as nice as she was being. Most others he had found didn't quite click with him when he had spoken to them.

"Alright..."
She stops walking, takes her head phones off, closes her eyes, and tilts her head back ever so slightly.
After a deep breath, she starts talking.
"There's 2 people a lil' ways back talking about an anime, one furthest from us has a limp. There's two squirrels in that tree, which just lost a branch from the wind."
She opens her eyes and looks up at the sky.
"The warm wind coming from the north means the cumulus clouds above us will, by sundown, be cumulonimbus clouds and we could be looking forward to thunderstorms by tommorow."
Now looking straight at Izumi.
"As for you. You have good posture and messy hair, meaning you had plenty of discipline but you're trying to move on from it. So either you have strict parents or you were in some kind of club which you were forced to quit. With your appreciation of your surroundings and how I doubt anyone would have the heart to be hard on someone with heterochromia. I'd say you used to be a boy scout."

[OOC: I might have gone a little over board with that. Sorry.]

[OOC: Perhaps so, however I don't think much can be done about that now.]

Izumi stares at her a bit incredulously and smiles sheepishly.

"Well, I can pick up on most of these myself, however, how did you get anything about myself from this? I was a scout and was forced to quit because my eyesight was starting to dwindle. I wreaked my team's raft in an incident that had occurred in a competition. You have more than a keen eye Chiharu."

Chiharu, forgetting she had her headphones off, jumped a little when Izumi started to speak which she tried to hide with a shrug.
"I was mostly guessing, to be honest."
And started to continue walking to the dorms. <I hope no one got hurt...>

Izumi seems to jolt as she jolts, nodding his head as they then decide walk onward. As they start to near the dorms, Izumi decides to ask a question.

"I don't mean to pry, but is there any significance to the headphones you're wearing? I saw you sort of jolt earlier; I can't help but to feel something connects here."

<Damn, he noticed>
"Well... you know that little test we did?"
She continues with a playful squint, "I kiiinda cheated"
*sigh*
"You see... the reason I'm here is because I have something that makes all stimuli stronger and more vivid to me than most people."
<also has a tendency of being a pain in the neck... Literally>

"That's fine, I'm not going to judge you for that. I suppose those headphones work to dampen sound then."

Izumi thinks about something to say to make this a little less of an awkward situation to be in. Most people here whilst seemingly open about their conditions, are also visibly uncomfortable. He was beginning to actually like this girl a bit. She seemed very interesting, he didn't want her to feel off put by anything.

"Let's move on for a second, what classes are you taking here? This seems like quite a few books. I'm not at all complaining, I just want to know, you sounded so bright earlier. Perhaps you have much more vigorous classes here, the challenge you came for."

"Oh, only a couple of these are for classes. Most of them are to fulfill my own curiosity, like I saw this one girl with a cybernetic arm, so I decided to get a book on cybernetics.... I was thinking about maybe taking a sign language class, seeing as I'm going to be spending the next three years of my life here. There's a good chance I'll meet someone who's mute."
Chiharu expectantly looks over at Izumi to continue with, "What do you think?"

[OOC: I quite apologize for the delay, I had things I had to do over the past few days.]

"You don't think you can fit a bit of braille can you? I'd like to read it over with you one day if you can acquire a book on it. I... might need it." 

Izumi smiles faintly until he gets to the last part realizing what was said, he pauses. 

"Aside from that, it's a nice breather to finally see someone actually like learning to learn. It's much how people always thought I was strange for loving the outdoors as much as I did, sure my father influenced me a bit, but I personally took the time out to really get into what I ended up doing. It's done quite well for me. So, as for what I think, I believe it's a good thing you're doing." 

Izumi looks on with a renewed smile on his face, speaking to someone has indeed helped relieve some of his listlessness.
